Entrando nel centro di Todi, in cima ad un’alta scalinata, si trova il Tempio di San Fortunato (vescovo di Todi), costruito nel XV° secolo in stile gotico. L’esterno, incompiuto, presenta un bellissimo Portale di Marmo. All’interno sono conservati i resti di Jacopone da Todi. L’interno della chiesa è a tre navate, e al centro si nota la statua del santo. Ai lati si trovano varie cappelle ed affreschi.Scendendo nella cripta si trova la tomba di marmo di San Fortunato e la lapide di Jacopone. Dalla sagrestia, salendo sull’alto campanile, si può ammirare uno stupendo panorama di tipiche colline umbre.
