Vallo di Nera (PG), borgo fortificato medievale della Valnerina e posto sulla sommità di un colle, si appresta ad ospitare come ogni anno Fior di cacio: profumi e sapori d’Umbria, manifestazione dedicata alle eccellenti produzioni casearie dell’Umbria. Due giorni, 9 e 10 Giugno 2012, dove la ricotta salata stagionata (tipica della Valnerina) e tutti i tipi di cacio saranno gli assoluti protagonisti tra degustazioni ed esposizioni, convegni, visite guidate  e folklore.

Fior di Cacio 2012 come detto aprirà i battenti Sabato 9 Giugno 2012 alle ore 10:00, e dalle 10:30 presso la Sala del “Convento di Santa Maria” il convegno: “La tradizione del cacio in Umbria”. Sempre alle 10:30, fino alle 20:00 (in entrambi i giorni, ndr) “Le vie del Cacio” – Esposizione e degustazione di formaggi e prodotti umbri all’interno delle antiche cantine del borgo.
Nelle 2 giornate potrete osservare la mostra “Briganti in mostra”. Immagini del brigantaggio da Petrone da Vallo a Frà Diavolo (Ecomuseo della dorsale appenninica umbra – “Casa dei Racconti”); fare visite guidate alle chiese del paese ed ai sentieri della transumanza; dimostrazioni e corsi sulla lavorazione del formaggio; stornellatori e musica folklorista per le vie del borgo; spettacoli per bambini.

Inoltre, Sabato 9 Giugno a partire dalle ore 17:30La disfida del Ruzzolone” – Tradizionale gioco del ruzzolone con le ruzziche stagionate di formaggio lungo la strada provinciale (si può giocare in singolo od a squadre ed entro un percorso prestabilito, senza uscirne fuori, si deve lanciare una forma di formaggio stagionato, attraverso un nastro, il più lontano possibile). Domenica 10 Giugno 2012 invece dalle 10:00 alle 12:00 e dalle 15:30 alle 18:00 prima edizione di “Mastro Formaggiaio”, campionato italiano individuale ed a squadre.

In the 2 days you can watch the show “Bandits on display”. Pictures of brigandage from Petrone da Vallo to Frà Diavolo (at Ecomuseo della dorsale appenninica umbra – “Casa dei Racconti”); do guided tours of the churches of the borgo and to the cattle trails; demonstrations and courses on the cheese; folklorist music for the town’s streets; children’s shows.

Sunday, June 10th, 2012 instead from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 15:30 to 18:00 hours the first edition of “Mastro Formaggiaio” (“Master Cheesemaker“), Italian individual and teams championship.
