The story of the farm is one of passion for the land and animals, a passion that has been cultivated for three generations and that we want to share with our guests today, from the youngest to the oldest.
We are located in the municipality of Narni, nestled on a small hill among the gentle hills of Umbria, with a privileged view of the picturesque town of Narni and its fortress, endless cultivated fields, lush vineyards, and serene ponds.
A few years ago, we uprooted an old unproductive vineyard and decided to replant a new one of just over 3 hectares with varieties of Chardonnay, Merlot, and Ciliegiolo. In particular, Ciliegiolo is a native grape variety, and we see it as a representation of our roots. We decided to experiment with new and old production methods in our cellar to maximize its potential.
The 50 hectares of land on the farm are dedicated to cereal production, which we use to prepare feed for our animals. We also dream of milling our own flour with a small mill to make sweets, bread, and pasta for the farm’s consumption and for educational workshops. In short, we take the concept of “km0” very seriously here!
In 2013, we decided to expand the activities of the farm and embarked on the project of the educational farm. We renovated the buildings where the stables, barns, cellar, laboratories, classrooms, and kitchen are now located. We did this with a focus on energy efficiency. In fact, the farm generates over 50% of its energy needs through a photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the stable, with no environmental impact!
