Orienteering in Umbria

Although the Scandinavian origin the Orienteering is a sport that over the years has established itself in Italy, especially in regions such as Umbria, full of hills and forest areas suitable for this type of activity.

The rules are simple: armed with map, compass and hiking shoes the goal is to reach a predetermined point by choosing the most suitable path (which is not always the shortest) to reach their destination before the other competitors.

Orienteering is an activity suited to outdoor enthusiasts and those who have problems with orientation; this sport which is held in contact with nature, immersed in the landscape, is practiced in many areas of Umbria in areas equipped or simply in green areas.
