Gubbio (PG) ed il Natale sono un connubio che dura ormai da 31 anni, dal 1981, da quando sulle pendici del Monte Ingino si decise di “costruire” un Albero di Natale con oltre 250 punti luminosi di colore verde, alto 650 metri, 300 luci multicolore e sulla sommità una stella dalla superficie di 1.000 m² disegnata da 200 punti luminosi. Resta acceso durante tutto il periodo natalizio.
Una realizzazione tale non può certo passare inosservata, ed infatti nel 1991 entrò nel Libro dei Guinness dei Primati.

E per celebrare degnamente il suo albero, Gubbio per il 13° anno consecutivo ospiterà il “Concerto sotto l’Albero“, diventato uno degli appuntamenti musicali più attesi nel panorama nazionale, che ha visto in passato grandi artisti internazionali, solo per citarne alcuni Giovanni Allevi e la Philharmonische Camerata Berlin nel 2007 od anche Sergei Nakariakov, “il Paganini della tromba” e gli Interpreti Veneziani e Orchestra d’Archi nel 2009.

Per il Concerto sotto l’Albero 2011 si esibirà “The Russian Chamber Philarmonic St. Petersburg“, diretta da Juri Gilbo e con Alexander Hrustevich, genio della Fisarmonica e talento straordinario riconosciuto come uno dei maggiori virtuosi al mondo di questo strumento. 11 Dicembre 2011, dalle ore 19:30 presso la chiesa di San Domenico.

It remains active throughout the Christmas period.
A creation that can hardly go unnoticed, and in fact in 1991 it entered the Guinness Book of World Records.

And to celebrate his tree, Gubbio for the 13th consecutive year will host the “Concerto sotto l’Albero” (“Concert under the Christmas Tree“), became one of the most anticipated musical events on the national scene, which has seen major international artists in the past, just to name a few Giovanni Allevi and the Philharmonische Camerata Berlin in 2007 or even Sergei Nakariakov, “the Paganini of the trumpet,” and the Interpreti Veneziani and Orchestra d’Archi in 2009.

For the 2011 Concerto sotto l’Albero will perform “The Russian Chamber Philharmonic St. Petersburg“, directed by Juri Gilbo and with Alexander Hrustevich, extraordinary talent and genius of the Accordion recognized as one of the greatest virtuosos of this instrument in the world. December 11th, 2012 from 19:30 at the church of San Domenico.
