Tutti a Todi per il quarto appuntamento con il Todi Tango Festival, la manifestazione che dal 21 al 30 Giugno celebra l’affascinante e sensualissimo ballo argentino nella cornice di una delle più belle cittadine umbre.
L’obiettivo del festival è quello di realizzare un incontro di livello nazionale e internazionale, con ospiti provenienti da varie città d’Italia, dall’Argentina e dal resto del mondo, per celebrare la recente proclamazione da parte dell’UNESCO del Tango come “patrimonio culturale immateriale dell’umanita”, guidando gli ospiti e gli spettatori in un percorso artistico-culturale senza frontiere.
Ad organizzare la manifestazione è la scuola “Alicetango” di Paolo Selmi, insieme all’amministrazione comunale tuderte, che per l’occasione ha messo a disposizione, oltre al palazzo comunale, anche il teatro della città. Queste suggestive location ospiteranno tangheri famosi e principianti, oltre a workshop sul tango e lezioni.

Il Todi Tango Festival 2013 abbraccia anche la solidarietà, sostenendo la fondazione Ant onlus, con una milonga prevista mercoledì 26 giugno, alle 21.30, in piazza del Popolo, in cui, con una piccola donazione, si potranno sostenere i progetti di prevenzione oncologica della fondazione in Umbria.

Anche a chi non sa ballare il tango ma vuole imparare trova pane per i suoi denti, il festival infatti apre anche ai più inesperti: dal lunedì al mercoledì  i ballerini delle scuole di tango umbre sono a disposizione per impartire ai principianti lezioni gratuite nella piazza principale della città.
Per tutta la durata dell’evento saranno disponibili i servizi di baby sitter e dog sitter, prenotazione obbligatoria.

These evocative locations will host both famous tango dancers and beginners, as well as workshops and lectures on tango.

2013 Todi Tango Festival also embraces solidarity, supporting the non-profit foundation Ant, with a milonga scheduled Wednesday, 26th June at 21.30 in Piazza del Popolo where, with a small donation, you will be able to support the projects of the foundation for cancer prevention in Umbria.

The festival opens to those who can not dance the tango, but want to learn. From Monday to Wednesday, in fact, for the entire duration of the event, tango dancers of Umbrian schools  are available to give free lessons to beginners in the main square of the city.

For the duration of the event will be available babysitting and dog sitter, reservations required.
