Spettacoli di prosa, recital, concerti e musical, mostre di arte contemporanea, conferenze, incontri, rassegne cinematografiche: tutto rigorosamente gratuito. Il Todi Festival 2015 sarà accessibile a tutti senza pagare il prezzo del biglietto; niente più scuse per chi ritiene che andare a teatro sia una spesa troppo onerosa da affrontare in questo periodo di difficoltà economica.

Una scelta controcorrente quella del Direttore Artistico Silvano Spada che commenta così: “Bisogna smetterla con il teatro appannaggio esclusivo di un pubblico circoscritto ed immutato nel tempo. Questa iniziativa ha come obiettivo quello di accorciare le distanze tra il grande pubblico e il palcoscenico teatrale, spero che i risultati di questa scelta possano avvantaggiare la fruizione culturale nel medio e lungo periodo”.

Il Maestro Michelangelo Pistoletto ha realizzato il manifesto di questa edizione del Todi Festival.

Non si parlerà soltanto di Germania ed emigranti al Todi Festival, una particolare attenzione sarà riservata anche all’universo femminile.

A partire dal recitalMita Medici canta Franco Califano”, ideato e diretto da Silvano Spada, che vedrà la Medici cimentarsi con le canzoni ed il ricordo del grande amore della sua vita.

Il rapporto tra uomo e donna anche al centro di “Nove” con Claudia Crisafio e Massimiliano Franciosa, che vestiranno via via i panni di un professore e una studentessa, due anziani al parco, un illusionista e la sua agente, per nove esilaranti frammenti. Ed ancora nello spettacolo di Maurizio CostanzoUn coperto in più” con Maurizio Micheli, Vito, Loredana Giordano e Alessia Fabiani, in cui si parla di una donna che è andata via, ma della quale il suo uomo non riesce a fare a meno.

Altra protagonista femminile Elena Bonelli, che interpreta Bertolt Brecht  con “squarci teatrali” e le sue più belle  canzoni.

Viceversa sarà un uomo, Riccardo Castagnari, a vestire i panni di una grande donna, Marlene Dietrich, in Marlene D the Legend” che porterà in scena un’inedita Dietrich cinquantenne che abbandona il cinema per dedicarsi al canto con i suoi amori, il lusso e i retroscena nascosti della sua solitudine.

Spettacolo interamente femminile sarà Clausure” di Marina Pizzi con Angiola Baggi, Maria Cristina Fioretti e Eugenia Scotti con la regia di Francesca Satta Flores, dove due visioni della vita opposte si sconteranno in un parlatorio benedettino.

Many surprises for the twenty-seventh edition of the Festival of Todi who returns from August 23th to September 1st with a program full of performances, exhibitions, meetings and events. Amanda SandrelliGabriel GarkoAmbra Angiolini, Claudia PandolfiMarco Bocci are just a few of the many prestigious names who will recite on the stage of the event . “Over a hundred actors and directors, more than ten events per day and at least fifteen productions of all unpublished prose produced or co-produced by the Festival,” says artistic director Luciano Spada.

The show section will be opened by “Return to Haifa”, text by Ghassan Kanafani and directed by Patrick Rossi Gastaldi, with Amanda Sandrelli in the role of a Palestinian mother. 

Ambra Angiolini will perform together with Marco Bocci “Process the Witch” by Silvano Spada directed by Enrico Maria Lamanna. The story concerns the town of Todi, protagonist in 1426 the first stake for witchcraft of the history.

And again, “The Queen of the emigrants,” the story of Gilda Mignonette, the most famous in the United States Neapolitan singer  played by Marta Bifano, on stage together with Massimo Russo Michele Abbate and directed by Riccardo Reim. Among the many shows  “American Bar” by Aurora Faccini and Federico Bellone, “Put yourself in my shoes” with Mauro Bronchi and Graziano Sirci, written and directed by John Franci, “Steve and Bill” inspired by the two Technology genes  Jobs and Gates and directed by Mauro Mandolins, “Livingstone, an explorer in the mirror” with Valeria Ciangottini and Enzo Aronica, director of the show and “What co’sex” man’s response to the famous Vagina Monologues, a show directed and conceived by Gianluca Ramazzotti.

For the events section will be celebrated the great myths: videos, movies, interviews of historical characters light up the spotlight on other arts, from opera to dance, from movies to pop and rock music. There will be tributes to Freddie MercuryBob MarleyRudolf NureyevJames DeanPier Paolo PasoliniAnna MagnaniLuchino ViscontiRodolfo Valentino.
