Dal 17 al 23 Marzo 2013 Spoleto ed il Teatro NuovoGian Carlo Menotti” ospiteranno, per la 23ma volta, la Settimana Internazionale della Danza, kermesse dedicata alla “sesta arte” con al centro il Concorso Internazionale di Danza “Città di Spoleto”, probabilmente la competizione più nota ed importante del genere a livello nazionale, riservata ai migliori giovani danzatori del globo.
Ma il Concorso Internazionale di Danza è ben conosciuto pure oltre i confini dell’italica penisola, visto che l’appuntamento spoletino è ormai una tappa fissa del circuito International Federation Ballet Competitions. In compagnia di grandi kermesse e grandi città come Mosca, Berlino, New York, Pechino, Tokyo, Istanbul, Helsinki, Varna, Perm, Riga, Seoul, Astana e Budapest.

Il Concorso, con fasi eliminatorie e finali, si divide in 4 sezioni e garantisce, ai primi 3 classificati di ogni categoria, oltre ai premi, la possibilità di partecipare di diritto, senza effettuare le preselezioni, al “XII International Ballet Competition and Contest of Choreographers” del Teatro Bolshoi di Mosca (dal 10 al 20 giugno 2013):

  • solisti Classica (3 categorie demografiche, Allievi 12-14 anni, Juniores 15-17, Seniores 18-24);

  • solisti Moderna-Contemporanea (Allievi, Juniores, Seniores);

  • Pas de Deux (unica categoria, 15-24, ed unico vincitore);

  • Composizione Coreografica (senza limiti d’età e con 4 categorie: classico-neoclassico; moderno-contemporaneo; urban dance come hip hop, new style-house, ecc.; danze folclore-carattere. Un solo premio per categoria).

La Settimana Internazionale della Danza 2013, presieduta da Alberto Testa e con direttore artistico Irina Kashkova, sarà dedicata, nel trentesimo anniversario della sua morte, al danzatore e coreografo George Balanchine. E non troverete soltanto la gara, ma anche spettacoli, mostre, film, convegni, corsi e master classes. La madrina ed ospite d’onore sarà la leggendaria Carla Fracci, che consegnerà il premio ai vincitori nella serata di Gran Gala prevista per sabato 23 Marzo 2013, Teatro NuovoGian Carlo Menotti” a partire dalle ore 20:30.
Inoltre la grande artista, sempre il 23 al Teatro Nuovo ma a partire dalle 18:00, sarà al centro di “Sai cosa danzi?“. In compagnia di Alberto Testa e di Irina Kashkova, la Fracci sarà intervistata da Sara Zuccari, Direttore Responsabile del quotidiano online giornaledelladanza.com (nonché presidente della Giuria che consegnerà il Premio della Critica, riservato al giovane ballerino più talentuoso, ndr), e commenterà i passi del balletto che più di tutti l’ha vista insuperabile performer, “Giselle“.
