Il Natale 2011 si sta avvicinando e l’Umbria, una delle regioni italiane dalle tradizioni storiche, religiose e folkloristiche più antiche, che affondano le proprie radici nella notte dei tempi, anche quest’anno omaggerà la Natività grazie ai presepi.

 

Bella Umbria si soffermerà su alcune di queste vere e proprie opere che si terranno in giro per il Cuore Verde d’Italia a Natale 2011, dividendoli in Artistici e Viventi. Per un elenco più completo, e suddiviso per comprensori, vi rimandiamo al .pdf in fondo all’articolo.

 

 

Partiamo dagli artistici

Giunge alla sua 23esima edizione ad Orvieto (TR) il Presepe nel Pozzo. Il nome non è casuale: si trova al termine del complesso archeologico del Pozzo della Cava, in una grotta di origine etrusca 14 metri sotto il livello del mare. Con personaggi animati a grandezza naturale. Dal 23 dicembre 2011 all’8 gennaio 2012, dalle 09:00 alle 20:00.

 

Magione (PG), presso la Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista, il Presepe Storico Meccanizzato realizzato dall’artista Sante Cacchiata. Dall’8 Dicembre al 6 Gennaio 2012. Orario 16:00 – 19:00, festivi e prefestivi ore 10:00 – 12:00/16:00 – 19:00.

 

La Chiesa di S. Maria di Ferentillo (TR) dall’8 dicembre 2011 al 31 gennaio 2012 ospiterà, come ogni anno, il Presepe Artistico, conosciuto ormai a livello nazionale e che attira ogni anno migliaia di visitatori nel piccolo centro della provincia di Terni. Rappresentazione multiscenica con la narrazione dei passi del vangelo di Luca, visitabile nei giorni festivi dalle 15:00 alle 19:00, feriali (preferibile prenotazione) 16:00 – 18:00. Vincitore della 10a edizione “Praesepium italiae”.

 

Per chi volesse abbinare visita ad un presepe artistico ed enogastronomia, a Monte Castello di Vibio (PG), precisamente in frazione Doglio, nei giorni 18-25-26 Dicembre ed 1-5-6-7-8 Gennaio ci sarà la Vª edizione di Viaggio nel Presepio: viaggio all’interno del paese tra presepi artistici ed artigianali provenienti da varie parti del mondo, degustazione di prodotti tipici, vin brulé e spettacoli. Dalle ore 16:00.

 

Massa Martana (PG) vengono messi in mostra 150 Presepi provenienti da tutte e 20 le Regioni d’Italia grazie a Presepi d’Italia 2011-2012; l’edizione di quest’anno riprende il tema dell’unità d’Italia in occasione dei festeggiamenti dei 150 anni.
Dal 24 dicembre all’8 gennaio 2012 va in onda una vera e propria rassegna dell’arte presepiale delle migliori realtà regionali, in cui artisti provenienti da tutta Italia mettono in mostra le proprie creazioni frutto di esperienza, tecnica e fantasia.
Le grandi attrazioni di quest’anno sono il nuovo Presepe del Perugino ispirato alla “Adorazione dei Magi” del Divin Pittore, con statue in carta pesta a grandezza naturale i cui abiti da cerimonia sorprendono per le ricche pieghe del panneggio in carta ed il colore rosso che la fa da padrone, ed il Presepe di Ghiaccio grande ben 20 mq e fatto tutto di ghiaccio, dai personaggi alle pecore, dalla stella cometa alla capanna ed alla palma alta 2 mt: tutto sembra di cristallo e brilla come se fosse illuminato da un milione di luci. Città di Castello (PG) XIIa Mostra Internazionale di Arte Presepiale, percorso presepiale nel centro storico, presepe tradizionale presso il convento degli Zoccolanti, presepe tradizionale al santuario della Madonna di Belvedere, presepe tradizionale al rione Mattonata.

 

Per l’ottavo anno consecutivo, visto il successo riscosso nelle edizioni precedenti, Cascia (PG) ospita la Rassegna dei Presepi, che raccoglie presepi di tutti i tipi e dimensioni, che si snodano tra chiese, cantine e luoghi caratteristici del centro storico della città di Santa Rita.
La rassegna presepiale sarà visibile dall’8 dicembre 2011 al 22 gennaio 2012 ed è organizzata dalla sezione locale del “Moica” e dell’associazione “Amici del Presepe Fabio Carbonari” che provvederà anche ad allestire, oltre al già noto presepe monumentale, un albero natalizio ed un ulteriore presepe artistico davanti alla chiesa di San Francesco con lo scopo di “inviare un bel segnale di amore e di pace attraverso il presepe”.

 

Montefalco (PG) giunge alla terza edizione la manifestazione. Tra le varie iniziative promosse proposte in calendario, spicca la quarta Mostra Nazionale dei Presepi.
La mostra, ideata e curata da Angela Celesti, si svolgerà dal 4 dicembre all’8 gennaio presso il Chiostro di S. Agostino, tutti i giorni nei seguenti orari: prefestivi e festivi dalle 10:00 alle 13:00 e dalle 15:00 alle 18:00; feriali dalle 15:00 alle 18:00.

 

Calvi dell’Umbria (TR) riapre, dopo l’ultimo restauro che ha interessato gli affreschi della Chiesa di Sant’Antonio Abate, il Presepe Monumentale. Da Sabato 17 Dicembre 2011 saranno visitabili 30 statue policrome in terracotta risalenti al XVI sec., opera dei fratelli Giacomo e Raffaele da Montereale. Orari: sabato dalle 15:00 alle 18:00; domenica dalle 11:00 alle 13:00 e dalle 15:00 alle 18:00. Aperture straordinarie il 26 Dicembre 2011 ed il 6 Gennaio 2012. Chiuso il 25 Dicembre ed il 1° Gennaio.

Cascia (PG), presso la frazione Avendita, il 27 Dicembre 2011 dalle ore 20:30 Presepe Vivente dedicato alla storia di San Francesco d’Assisi, che a Greccio diede vita al primo presepe vivente la notte di Natale del 1223.

The Church of St. Maria in Ferentillo (TR) host, as every year, the Art Crib, now known nationally and annually attracts thousands of visitors in the small town of the province of Terni. From December 8th, 2011 to January 31st, 2012.

For those wishing to combine a visit to an art crib, food and wine, in Monte Castello di Vibio (PG), specifically in Doglio, 18-25-26 days in December and on January there will be on 1-5-6-7-8 the fifth edition of Viaggio nel Presepe (Travel in the Crib): travel inside the country among nativity arts and crafts from various parts of the world, tasting of typical products, mulled wine and entertainment. Start time: 16:00.

In Massa Martana (PG) are put on display 150 nativity scenes from all the 20 regions of Italy with Presepi d’Italia (Cribs of Italy). This year’s edition takes up the theme of the unification of Italy during the celebrations of the 150th anniversary.

In Citta di Castello (PG) 12th Mostra Internazionale di Arte Presepiale (International Exhibition of Art Crib): cribs route in the historic center, the traditional nativity scene at the convent of Zoccolanti, traditional nativity scene at the shrine of the Madonna di Belvedere.

For the eighth consecutive year, given the success of previous editions, Cascia (PG) is home to the traditional Rassegna dei Presepi (Festival of the Nativity Scenes), which collects cribs of all types and sizes, winding through churches, wineries and places of the Old City of Santa Rita. From December 8th, 2011 to January 22nd, 2012.

In Montefalco (PG) comes to the third edition the show Once upon a time… at Christmas. Among the various initiatives proposed in the schedule, stands the fourth National Exhibition of Cribs. From December 4th, 2011 to January 8th, 2012.

In Calvi dell’Umbria (TR) reopens, after the last restoration involved the paintings of the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate, the Presepe Monumentale (Monumental Crib). From Saturday, December 17th, 2011 you can visit 30 polychrome terracotta statues dating from the sixteenth century. Till January 6th, 2012.

For the first time also Stroncone (TR) will have its Presepe Vivente per le vie del Centro Storico (Living Crib in the streets of the Historic Centre). Over 100 atmosphere actors engaged in the construction of three scenes: the Annunciation, the Census and the Nativity in the cave. The viewer will make a guided tour, where will be present scenes of small arts and crafts era. On December 26th2011January 1st and 6th2012 starting at 17:00.
