Vincitore di diversi premi e conosciuto ormai a livello nazionale, l’incantevole paese di quasi 2000 abitanti attira ogni anno migliaia di visitatori, che si recano qui per ammirare, nella chiesa di S.Maria, questo presepe multi scenico animato. Attraverso la narrazione di alcuni passi del Vangelo di San Luca, la Natività è accompagnata ed evidenziata da effetti di luce, fumo e movimenti vari, arricchendosi ogni anno di nuovi particolari che fanno di questo presepe una vera e propria opera d’arte.

 Ma che natale sarebbe senza l’albero? Presente nel guinness dei primati, a Gubbio c’è l’Albero di Natale più Grande del Mondo, alto oltre 650 metri con con più di 250 punti luminosi di colore verde, 300 luci multicolore e sulla sommità una stella dalla superficie di 1.000 m² disegnata da 200 luminarie, è una vera e propria unicità da non perdere se passate il Natale 2014 in Umbria. Quest’anno sarà Papa Francesco ad accendere l’albero per mezzo di un collegamento video.
