Dal 20 al 23 Giugno 2013 l’Isola Maggiore diverrà il palcoscenico naturale della terza edizione di Music for Sunset, manifestazione che ogni anno attraverso la musica celebra l’isola e tutte le forme di vita che la abitano, dall’acqua del lago Trasimeno agli animali della riserva naturale.
Unica nel suo genere, questa suggestiva kermesse unisce tutte le forme di arte con i suoni e gli spettacolari scorci dell’Isola, in un’ideale fusione che vede gli elementi della natura diventare parte attiva di performance musicali, letterarie, animazioni acquatiche e installazioni di illuminotecnica.
La manifestazione si articola in 4 sezioni: Pontili Sonori, Bagliori Letterari, Animazioni Acquatiche, Bagliori Visivi e Bagliori Fotografici.
Pontili Sonori è il nucleo centrale dal quale parte tutto il progetto “Music for sunset” e nasce dall’idea della “musica per ambienti” come evoluzione di un certo tipo di musica da camera e che trova il suo culmine nella grande opera di Brian Eno (“music for airports”, “music for film”). Qui il suono andrà a intersecarsi con i già presenti suoni della natura, l’ascoltatore continuerà quindi a percepire il brusio della natura lacustre, in un’ottica di “umanizzazione” della moderna pratica dell’installazione sonora. Dividendo le sonorizzazioni ambientali in “music for sunsets”, appunto al tramonto, e in concerti serali, al sorgere della luna, le performance tenderanno ad armonizzarsi con il calare del sole, della temperatura, della luminosità trasformando lo spazio in un luogo/momento “altro”, in cui poter ascoltare i musicisti in una veste del tutto inedita.
Per la sezione Bagliori Letterari, lungo il prato verde di San Francesco, il percorso lungolago, i pontili e i giardini letterari ogni giorno alle ore 17.00 verranno allestiti degli appuntamenti letterari dove poeti e cantastorie declameranno al pubblico lacustre le loro rime in omaggio al tramonto.
Al tramonto, in contemporanea con le sonorizzazioni ambientali, verranno realizzate delle vere e proprie Animazioni Acquatiche mentre in orario serale per la sezione Bagliori Visivi un collettivo di artisti illumineranno l’Isola Maggiore attraverso postazioni video distribuite nelle aree strategiche rilevanti del paesaggio, visibili da più parti del Lago Trasimeno e dal pontile principale, ma anche in grado di creare effetti visivi suggestivi muovendosi all’interno dell’isola.
Il pubblico del Festival ha anche la possibilità di diventare artista grazie all’inziativa Bagliori Fotografici, che vedrà l’allestimento di mostre fotografiche con i migliori scatti dei partecipanti.

It was born from the idea of  “music for environments” as the evolution of a certain type of chamber music that finds its culmination in the great work of Brian Eno (“music for airports”, “music for film”). The sounds of music will intersect with the existing sounds of nature making the listener feel the buzz of nature lake, in a “humanization” of the modern practice sound installation. Dividing the soundtracks in sunset and evening concerts, the performances will tend to harmonize with the setting of the sun, temperature, brightness, transforming the space into a unique place/time moment, where hearing the musicians in as completely new way.

For Bagliori Letterari section, every day at 17.00 along the green lawn of St. Francis, the path lakefront docks and  literary gardens will be set up some literary appointments where poets and storytellers will declaim to the lake audience their rhymes in honor of the sunset .

At sunset, in conjunction with Pontili Sonori, ther will be Animazioni Acquatiche, aquatic animations,  while in the evening for the Bagliori Visivi  section, a collective of artists will illuminate Isola Maggiore through video stations distributed in strategic areas relevant to the landscape, visible from most parts of Lake Trasimeno and the main pier.

Festival audience will also have the opportunity to become theirselves artists thanks to Bagliori Fotografici, which will see photographic exhibitions of the audience’s best shots in Guglielmi museum.
