Dal 1° al 3 Settembre 2012 si svolgerà la nuova edizione del pellegrinaggio da Assisi a Gubbio, sul sentiero che San Francesco percorse tra Febbraio e Marzo del 1206 quando, dopo essersi spogliato dei beni paterni, decise di allontanarsi da Assisi e raggiungere Gubbio, dove trovò rifugio presso la famiglia Spadalonga. Qui ricevette una rozza tunica, molto probabilmente il prototipo del saio.
La camminata, come le tre precedenti edizioni, sarà all’insegna della riconciliazione. Il tema previsto per questo quarto pellegrinaggio sarà la “Riconciliazione con i fratelli”.

La prima giornata de Il Sentiero di Francesco 2012 prevede la tratta Assisi-Valfabbrica, di 15 km circa.
Partenza nella mattinata del 1° Settembre 2012 da Assisi, ore 8:00, dopo la liturgia presso il vescovato di Assisi e la visita alla tomba di san Francesco. Il primo giorno di pellegrinaggio inizierà da Porta San Giacomo per poi arrivare a Valfabbrica verso le 16:00, dove i pellegrini, dopo un incontro presso la Chiesa di San Sebastiano con il prof. Giovanni Mazzotta, che racconterà l’esperienza della riconciliazione con i fratelli aiutato da due testimoni, troveranno un momento di convivialità intorno ad una tavola ben bandita.

Il secondo giorno, 2 Settembre 2012, si va da Valfabbrica fino all’eremo di San Pietro in Vigneto, 10,5 km.
Partenza ore 7:30 in direzione Caprignone (arrivo ore 12:00) e da lì verso l’eremo (16:30 circa). La giornata terminerà con un altro momento di riflessione e preghiera.

L’ultima tappa del pellegrinaggio, 3 Settembre 2012, sarà la San Pietro in Vigneto-Gubbio, 14 km.
Dopo un passaggio all’Abbazia di Vallingegno, prevede l’arrivo alla chiesetta della Vittorina di Gubbio, il luogo dell’incontro tra il Santo ed il Lupo (ore 16:00). Dalle 18:00, Chiesa di San Francesco, celebrazione eucaristica presieduta dal Vescovo di Gubbio e consegna del messaggio delle Famiglie Francescane ai partecipanti del pellegrinaggio. Concluderà la 4a edizione de Il Sentiero di Francesco una cena.

The last stage of the pilgrimage, September 3rd, 2012, will be the San Pietro in Vigneto-Gubbio, 14 km.
After a passage at the Vallingegno Abbey, expected to arrive at the little church of the Vittorina of Gubbio, the meeting place of the Saint and the Wolf (16:00). From 18:00, Church of San Francesco, Mass celebrated by the Bishop of Gubbio and delivery of the message of the Franciscan Families to the participants of the pilgrimage. Will conclude the fourth edition of Il Sentiero di Francesco a dinner.
