Gubbio (PG) e dintorni, ma anche alcuni comuni delle vicine Marche, ospiteranno, dal 20 Luglio al 6 Agosto 2012, il Gubbio Summer Festival 2012, manifestazione internazionale di musica classica con concerti, corsi, masterclass, premiazioni con borse di studio, laboratori ed eventi correlati.

La kermesse, che quest’anno giunge alla 23esima edizione, è diventata ormai un punto di riferimento per studenti, musicisti, appassionati ed innumerevoli turisti provenienti da tutto il mondo. Ed è anche un’occasione per ammirare la bellezza dei luoghi, come ad esempio il Complesso di San Pietro di Gubbio o l’Abbazia di Sitria di Scheggia.

Protagonisti dei concerti saranno alcuni dei docenti del festival insieme ad ospiti invitati per l’evento ed ai migliori allievi dei corsi, appositamente selezionati. Katia Ghighi, violinista e direttrice artistica del festival, ha allestito un cartellone d’eccezione per il Gubbio Summer Festival 2012. Saranno presenti, solo per citarne qualcuno, il violinista ucraino Oleksandr Semchuk, il flautista Mario Caroli, la violinista italo-armena Sonig Tchakerida, il chitarrista Roberto Salerno, il pianista francese Bertrand Giraud.

There will be, just to name some, the Ukrainian violinist Oleksandr Semchuk, the flutist Mario Caroli, Italian-Armenian violinist Sonig Tchakerida, guitarist Robert Salerno, the French pianist Bertrand Giraud.

Gubbio, with his beauty and his desire to deal with different cultures dedicated to classical music, is ready to welcome young people from Japan, Korea, France, USA, Greece, Tunisia, Bosnia, Mexico, England, Germany, Croatia, Brazil, Switzerland, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia, making it possible for the brightest pupils to perform during the Gubbio Summer Festival and receive scholarships.
