From July 20th to 22nd, 2012 back, to the second edition after the success of last year, Music For Sunset: "ambienti audioletterari", event that deals with environmental sound dubbing combining art, in various forms, with the sounds and spectacular views, especially at sunset, of the Isola Maggiore of the Lake Trasimeno, which is part of Tuoro sul Trasimeno (PG).

2012 Music for Sunset will harmonize the lake sounds with those of the “Pontili Sonori” ("Sound Pontoons"): the “artificial” sounds  will not be superior to the natural ones, but they would join them and follow them when the sun goes down. Among the protagonists of the pontoons, for example, Greg Haines, who will open the event Friday, July 20th, 2012 from 18:30 at the Darsena del Cigno (the musician and composer will perform also Saturday, July 21st at 22:45 at the Teatro del Tramonto and Sunday, July 22nd at 16:00 at the Scoglio e fonte di San Francesco); Vincenzo Zitello and the Girotondo d'Arpe (from 19:00 of Saturday, July 21st Darsena e Pontile Lingua del Cigno); Iononso+Chisono, Francesco Federici, accompanied by the dancer Simona Mariucci (Saturday, July 21st at 17:00 at Pontile dell'Oso); Ramberto Ciammarughi and Ensemble Novamusica with "Intra Montes" (Sunday, July 22nd, 2012 19:30 Pontile Lingua del Cigno).

From this year Music for Sunset also opens to dance. In addition to Simona Mariucci, Saturday, July 21st at 18:30 (reply Sunday 22nd at 18:00) at the Darsena and at the Pontile Lingua del Cigno will perform the contemporary dance and experimental hiphop company Ritmi Sotterannei with “Mi arrendo” ("I surrender").

Sunday, July 22nd, 2012 space for literary interventions called Bagliori Letterari (Literary Glimpses), in association with UmbriaLibri. The most eagerly awaited protagonist of these interventions will surely be Alessandro Haber, who from 20.30 at the Pontile Lingua del Cigno will rework his famous show dedicated to the controversial American writer and poet Charles Bukowski, "Bukowski - Confessions of a genius", sunset, piano and harp. The caustic author of "General Tales of Ordinary Madness" will be reinterpreted by Haber, subtitled “Storie di ordinari tramonti” ("Tales of ordinary sunsets"). On the "stage" of the Lingua del Cigno, as well as Haber-Bukowski, an ensemble consisting of piano (Ramberto Ciammarughi) and harp (Girotondo d’Arpe) will counterpoint then the words of "Buk", derived from the vast poetic production of the American writer, turned into canti, invectives, prayers, songs, stories, through the confessions of a quirky and unconventional genius. Another big player is Vincenzo Costantino "Cinaski", the Milan poet narrator and performer known for his intense collaboration with Vinicio Capossela and returning to the Maggiore Island for its second consecutive year. First appointment at 17:00, Giardino letterario in via Guglielmi; second, and final act of the Festival, at 22:30 at the Tramonto Theater, where Marco Rufini will also speak with “L’idrovolante”: l’aereopittura narrata e detta (The Float Plane: the aeropittura narrated and said).

And more: for all the 3 days permanent installations and initiatives, titled “Re Sole, Re Suono” ("Sun King, Sound King"). For example, you can see the acquatic animations by Victorine Pasman titled "Shylla". The exhibition of the Bevagna sculptor Paolo Massei titled “Rosso di sera 2”. Sentiero dei Lecci: the sound objects by Attila Faravelli and Nicola Ratti. "Wine for Sunset - When wine meets the sunset", tasting of local wines with elegant, unbreakable, reusable and recyclable glasses, the "Govino Wine Glasses", for an extraordinary union of wine, design, environment and safety.

All performances are free. For the full programme, please consult the attached .pdf file.
