Come tutti gli anni dal 29 Giugno al 7 Luglio Piediluco ed il suo splendido lago “esploderanno” di colori, musica ed eventi in occasione della Festa delle Acque 2013, festa che ha origini remote legate ai riti di celebrazione del solstizio d’Estate. Fin dall’antichità gli abitanti del lago ornavano imbarcazioni rituali per celebrare le divinità acquatiche, in particolare il Dio Nettuno, cui era dedicato il tempio sulle sponde del ramo occidentale e festeggiavano le acque, creatrici di meraviglie del paesaggio, irrigatrici e nutrici.

Le barche “Sacre” della tradizione si sono evolute con i mutamenti della cultura e dello spirito dell’uomo contemporaneo in una perfetta sintonia che le ha trasformate in moderne barche allegoriche, vere e proprie opere d’arte.

L’affascinante Sfilata delle barche allegoriche è prevista sabato 6 Luglio 2013, a partire dalle ore 21:30, per concludere in bellezza con lo spettacolo pirotecnico che inizierà alle 23.30 circa.

Ma la Festa della Acque negli anni è cresciuta fino a diventare un vero e proprio festival culturale con rappresentazioni teatrali e concerti. Per gli amanti del teatro domenica 30 Giugno verrà allestito uno spettacolo teatrale multisensoriale dal titolo Ascolta! Il nemico non tace che intende rievocare il primo bombardamento di Terni durante la seconda guerra mondiale; Giovedì 4 Luglio l’Associazione culturale La fucina delle Parole reciterà Trilussa; Venerdì 5 Luglio per Angoli di Storia e Leggende vi sarà un’altra rievocazione, di tipo storico e itinerante che inscenerà avvenimenti riguardanti il paese di Piediluco accaduti tra l’XI ed il XIII secolo.

L’intrattenimento musicale apre sabato 29 Giugno con un tributo al grande Lucio Dalla che vedrà i 4 Marzo ‘43 esibirsi in concerto, per poi proseguire martedì 2 Luglio con una serata danzante in compagnia della Stefania Band, per terminare domenica 7 Luglio, la serata conclusiva, con l’esibizione dei “Nuovi di Zecca”.

La manifestazione prevede anche mostre mercato, oltre al concorso Vicoli e Balconi Fioriti, animazione per bambini e convegni.

Like the past years, from 29th June to 7th  of July, Piediluco and its beautiful lake will “explode” of colors, music and events thanks to 2013 Piediluco Water Festival, a remote origins Feast related to the celebration of the summer solstice. Since ancient times, the people of the lake used to adorn boats to celebrate the water divinities, especially Neptune, which has his temple on Piediluco Lake banks.

The “Sacred” boats tradition has evolved in a perfect harmony with the changes in the culture and spirit of contemporary ma, transforming themselves into modern decorated boats, real art masterpieces.

 Saturday, July 6th 2013 at 9.30 pm the fascinating parade of decorated boats will start to finish at 11.30 pm with fireworks.

But 2013 Piediluco Water Festival is also a cultural festival with theatrical performances and concerts. Sunday, June 30th Listen! The enemy is not silent, a multisensory evoke of the first bombing of Terni during the Second World War, will be performed; Thursday, July 4th the Cultural Association The forge of the Words will recite Trilussa; Friday, July 5th for Corners of History and Legends there will be an historical re-enactment representing events occurred in Piediluco between the eleventh and thirteenth centuries.

Music will start Saturday, June 29th, with a tribute band performing Lucio Dalla; on Tuesday, July 2nd people with dance all the evening with Stefania Band and on Sunday, July 7th , in the occasion of the final evening, there will be the concert of Nuovi di Zecca.

The event also includes exhibitions market, in addition to the competition of the Blooming Balconies, children’s entertainment and conferences.
