A Città della Pieve, dal 12 fino al 24 Agosto 2014, Il Palio dei Terzieri, una delle più apprezzate rievocazioni storiche d’Italia. Intorno alla metà del XIII secolo Castel della Pieve riceve una conformazione urbana che conserva ancora oggi, con una pianta che ricorda un’aquila simbolo dell’imperatore Federico II di Svevia. I Terzieri rappresentano le tre parti dell’aquila: la testa è il Terziere Castello, Classe dei Cavalieri aristocratici, la pancia è il Terziere Borgo Dentro, Classe della Borghesia, l’ala-coda, il Terziere Casalino, Classe dei Pedoni (contadini inurbati che guerreggiavano a piedi usando arco e balestra). Tra il XV e il XVI sec, i Terzieri di Città della Pieve emulano Siena nella prima forma di Palio: la Caccia al Toro“. Montone ci aspetta invece con la Donazione della Santa Spina, nel clima infuocato di Agosto, dal 17 al 24 Agosto 2014, gli animi si riscaldano e i tre rioni di Verziere, Borgo e Monte si affrontano lanciandosi sfide, e ripropongono scene di vita medioevale, cimentandosi nel tiro con l’arco, per aggiudicarsi il Palio e la Castellana: Margherita Malatesta di Rimini, moglie del Conte Carlo che governava in sua assenza la città di Montone.
Le prove danno diritto a punteggi che in alcuni casi restano segreti fino alla penultima giornata dell’evento. Girovagando per Montone in quei giorni ci si può imbattere nelle fasi di preparazione dei vari rioni o trovarsi in mezzo all’ambiente caotico e frenetico che accompagna l’allestimento delle scenografie, l’organizzazione delle comparse, per poi ritrovarsi a tarda sera in un luogo quasi irreale. Nelle taverne rionali aperte poi ci si immerge nei suoni e nei sapori antichi.

 

Bevagna, Spello, Terni, Spoleto, Foligno, Todi, Acquasparta, Sangemini, Narni, Calvi dell’Umbria, le città umbre interessate dall’evento Festival Federico Cesi Musica Urbis 2014, giunto quest’anno alla sua settima edizione. In Città della Pieve, from 12 until August 24, 2014, The Terzieri, one of the most popular pageants in Italy. Around the middle of the thirteenth century Castel della Pieve receives an urban structure which still today with a plant that resembles an eagle, symbol of the Emperor Frederick II of Swabia. I Terzieri represent the three parts of the eagle: the head is the Terziere Castello, Class of Knights aristocrats, the belly is the Terziere Borgo Dentro, Class of the Bourgeoisie, the wing-tail, the Terziere Casalino, Class of Pedestrians (urbanized peasants who fought on foot using a bow and crossbow).Between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, the Terzieri of Città della Pieve emulate Siena in the first form of the Palio: the “Bull Hunting”And today the Palio continues and is renewed every year by keeping high the trepidation of the participants. From August 15 to 25, in Gubbio instead returns the event dedicated to the music and cultural events, Gubbio No Borders, organized by the homonymous Association…

In Corciano continues with success and enthusiasm Corciano Festival, that offers from 2 until August 17, 2014, exhibitions, theater and entertainment, taverns open and songs of the minstrels, with tambourines and dancing in the streets of the country in full compliance with the Renaissance tradition. Please note the Quattrocentesca Candlelight Procession on Thursday August 14th at 21:15, the procession of fifteenth-Banner Friday, August 15 at 17:30, the Closing Concert of Corciano Festival Sunday, August 17th at 21:15. Montone is waiting for us instead with the Donazione della Santa Spina ( Gift of the Holy Thorn) in the fiery atmosphere of August 17 to 24 August, 2014, tempers heat up and the three districts of Verziere, Borgo and Monte challenges you face, and depicting scenes of medieval life, experimenting in archery, to win the Palio and the Castellana: Margherita Malatesta of Rimini, the wife of Count Carlo who ruled in his absence the town of Montone. The tests give the right to the scores which in some cases remain secret until the penultimate day of the event. Wandering Montone in those days, one can encounter in the preparation of the various settings or be in the middle of hectic and chaotic environment that accompanies the construction of the sets, the organization of the extras, only to find themselves late in the evening in a place almost unreal. In the taverns rionali open then you are immersed in the sounds and flavors.

Bevagna, Spello, Terni, Spoleto, Foligno, Todi, Acquasparta, San Gemini, Narni, Umbria Calvi, the Umbrian towns affected by the event 2014 Federico Cesi Music Festival Urbis,  now in its seventh edition. Between 9 and August 31 great symphonic productions – Brahms, Beethoven, Mozart – Gala opera and sacred titles such as the rare Puccini’s Messa di Gloria and the more well known of Vivaldi. The event combines synergistically big international stars (Emma Kirkby, Concetta Anastasi, John Bellucci, Carlo Grante just to name a few ….) with young talents from all over the world. The theme of the Festival “The Woman”: the woman who inspired the music, the woman as an interpreter of excellence.
