Dopo il successo dell’edizioni 2012 e 2013, torna in Italia FameLab, il talent show scientifico internazionale per giovani scienziati, ricercatori, studenti universitari e docenti di materie scientifiche che si sfidano nel comunicare al pubblico, in tre minuti e a suon di parole, un argomento scientifico che li appassiona.

FameLab è una competizione internazionale promossa dal British Council, l’ente culturale britannico e ideata dal Festival della Scienza di Cheltenham.

In Italia la competizione è promossa dal British Council Italia, coordinata da Psiquadro e realizzata in collaborazione con: Museo delle Scienze di Trento, Le Nuvole di Napoli, Associazione Festival della Scienza di Genova, FosforoScienza di Ancona, Immaginario Scientifico di Trieste, Perugia Science Fest di Perugia e INAF-OAB di Milano.

La selezione di Perugia è prevista il 15 marzo presso Teatro della Sapienza dell’ONAOSI in via della Sapienza a partire dalle ore 10.00.

Le altre selezioni locali a cui è ancora possibile iscriversi si svolgeranno con il seguente calendario:

28 febbraio Trento

7 marzo Trieste

13 marzo Ancona

15 marzo Genova

15 marzo Perugia

16 marzo Napoli

16 marzo Milano

Per competere è sufficiente compilare il modulo scaricabile dal sito www.famelab-italy.it nella sezione come partecipare e inviarlo via mail, entro e non oltre le 23 del 14 marzo 2014, all’indirizzo perugia@famelab-italy.it

La partecipazione alla competizione è gratuita.

Vi informiamo che sia le fasi regionali che quelle nazionali saranno disputate in lingua italiana. Il vincitore nazionale che competerà alla finale internazionale dovrà utilizzare la lingua inglese.

Vi ricordiamo inoltre che per le selezioni regionali è necessario preparare due diverse presentazioni da tre minuti: una per la preselezione e una per selezione finale, nel caso in cui il concorrente superi la pre-selezione.

Per la selezione nazionale è invece necessaria solo una presentazione. Tramite le selezioni locali verranno scelti i 14 finalisti (2 per ogni città) che parteciperanno alla FameLab Masterclass – un workshop di formazione in comunicazione delle scienza – e alla finale nazionale del concorso in programma a Perugia il 3 Maggio 2014 presso il Teatro Pavone.

Il vincitore di FameLab Italia parteciperà alla finale internazionale di FameLab International gareggiando con 23 concorrenti di altrettanti paesi del mondo. La gara si svolgerà a giugno a Cheltenham, in Inghilterra, durante il Cheltenham Science Festival.
