{"id":194027,"date":"2022-08-12T17:50:22","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T15:50:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bellaumbria.net\/church-of-san-pietro\/"},"modified":"2022-08-13T17:26:17","modified_gmt":"2022-08-13T15:26:17","slug":"church-of-san-pietro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bellaumbria.net\/en\/religion-spirituality\/church-of-san-pietro\/","title":{"rendered":"Church of San Pietro"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"display: none;\">\n<p>La\u00a0<strong>chiesa di San Pietro<\/strong>, dopo essere stata allargata dagli Olivetani che si insediarono nell&#8217;abbazia nel 1505, \u00e8 stata completamente modificata, tuttavia la sua facciata mantiene interessanti elementi architettonici che rendono possibile avanzare delle ipotesi realistiche sull&#8217;origine.<\/p>\n<p>Ci sono quattro colonne, parzialmente incorporate, che probrabilmente sorregevano una galleria aperta poi demolita e che sono state usate ancora per la chiesa consacrata nel XI secolo.<br \/>\nLe colonne sono adornate dal capitelli corinzi in cattivo stato di conservazione, scolpiti con tre cerchi sovrapposti di foglie d&#8217;acanto, la presenza dei quali pu\u00f2 essere collegata alle tendenze bizantine che nel sesto secolo lasciarono altri segni nella citt\u00e0. Piccole mensole, inserite nella facciata, dove sono stati scolpiti animali fantastici e motivi arborei, sono le basi di sostegno degli archi cechi corrispondenti alla galleria aperta scomparsa.<\/p>\n<p>Dopo l&#8217;intimo cambiamento del Rinascimento, l&#8217;aspetto del tempio \u00e8 di buonissimo gusto, imponente , con elementi architettonici perfettamente bilanciati. la chiesa mostra alcuni affreschi di Raffaellino del Colle e di discepoli del Caravaggio, mobili scolpiti ed intarsiati, la maggior parte dei quali dai fratelli Maffei, artisiti eugubini di grande valore.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The <strong>Church os St.\u00a0Peter<\/strong>,\u00a0after having been enlarged by the Olivetanis which moved to the abbey in the 1505, has been completely modified.
