{"id":193973,"date":"2022-08-12T17:50:11","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T15:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bellaumbria.net\/pinacoteca-comunale-in-spoleto-municipal-art-gallery\/"},"modified":"2022-08-13T16:52:23","modified_gmt":"2022-08-13T14:52:23","slug":"pinacoteca-comunale-in-spoleto-municipal-art-gallery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bellaumbria.net\/en\/museums-and-art-galleries\/pinacoteca-comunale-in-spoleto-municipal-art-gallery\/","title":{"rendered":"Pinacoteca Comunale in Spoleto (Municipal Art Gallery)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"display: none;\">\n<p>Questo particolarissimo crocifisso portatile, tempera su tavola di 39&#215;49 cm, fu realizzato dal Maestro di Sant&#8217;Al\u00f2 e si pu\u00f2 ammirare nella\u00a0<strong>Pinacoteca Comunale di Spoleto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La storia di quest&#8217;oggetto \u00e8 cos\u00ec ricostruibile: Gregorio IX, fu eletto papa nel 1227, nutr\u00ec particolare affetto per le suore benedettine di S.Paolo; riconsacr\u00f2 la loro chiesa nel 1234 e fece loro dono di preziose reliquie, che furono costudite nelle incassature di questo reliquario del quale le monache ebbero sempre estrema cura. Il Crocefisso \u00e8 dipinto sulle due facce; sul recto il Cristo \u00e8 circondato dai soldati, nelle tabelle laterali sono raffigurati la Madonna e S. Giovanni; ai piedi del Cristo \u00e8 S.Chiara, la cimasa \u00e8 occupata da una lunga iscrizione, che prosegue contornando l&#8217;elemento di protezione dell&#8217;incasso destinato a custodire una piccola croce d&#8217;argento. Sul verso Cristo \u00e8 raffigurato crollante dalla croce, S. Paolo, S. Pietro e S. Giovanni Battista; nelle tabelle sono ancora raffigurati la Madonna e S. Giovanni; ai piedi di Cristo \u00e8 posto S.Francesco; nella cimasa due Angeli con delle fiaccole sorvegliano le reliquie conservate nell&#8217;apposita incassatura. Sull&#8217;orlo dell&#8217;oggetto corre una punzonatura costituita da una doppia fila di punti racchiudenti stellette.<\/p>\n<p>Bella Umbria ringrazia il Sig.
