Il Tempietto del Clitunno\u00a0<\/strong>si trova a Campello sul Clitunno, proprio accanto alle omonime e famose fonti. Si tratta di un piccolo edificio meno noto, ma di grande valore storico-artistico poich\u00e9 testimonia l’antico passato longobardo della zona di Spoleto.<\/p>\n

Dal 2011 fa infatti parte dei\u00a0Patrimoni dell’Umanit\u00e0 dell’UNESCO<\/strong>\u00a0tra i 7 gioielli dell’architettura e dell’arte che creano costituiscono il circuito “Longobardi in Italia: i luoghi del potere”.\u00a0<\/em> Nella stessa lista, \u00e8 inserita anche la\u00a0Chiesa di Salvatore<\/a>\u00a0di Spoleto.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Tempietto sul Clitunno, gioiello longobardo<\/h2>\n

situato a Campello sul Clitunno, mantiene ancora il nome classico della fiume che vi sorge accanto. Plinio descrive la sorgente non solo come obiettivo di locale venerazione ma come luogo degno da essere visitato da tutti. L’Imperatore Caligola vi si rec\u00f2 un giorno appositamente ed anche Onorio, viaggiando sulla Flaminia, volle visitare questa sorgente.<\/p>\n

Tra gli elementi pi\u00f9 attraenti della visita vi \u00e8 la suggestiva posizione, gi\u00e0 descritta da Plinio il Giovane come un luogo coperto da \u201cantichi e ombrosi cipressi ai cui piedi scaturisce una fonte che forma un laghetto\u201d. L\u2019edificio, che riutilizza elementi architettonici di et\u00e0 romana pertinenti forse alle strutture di un precedente santuario<\/p>\n

Il Tempio si posa su di un alto e severo basamento, munito di porta centrale attraverso cui si entra in un angusto sotterraneo dalla forma di T. Il vestibolo presenta sul fronte due pilastri laterali e quattro colonne a sostegno del cornicione e del timpano. Attraverso due avancorpi che fiancheggiano il pronao si accede al vestibolo a cui segue la cella che completa il grazioso edificio.<\/p>\n

Tanto nel timpano quanto nella scultura che orna il fronte principale della cella, \u00e8 scolpito il labaro Costantiniano che internamente conserva il suo monogramma.\u00a0Sull’architrave del fronte \u00e8 incisa l’epigrafe dedicatoria: “Scs deus angelorum qui fecit resurectionem”.<\/em><\/p>\n

L’interno del Tempietto del Clitunno nei seguenti orari di apertura:<\/p>\n

– Luned\u00ec Chiuso<\/p>\n

– Dal Marted\u00ec alla Sabato: dalle 8:15 alle 19:45 (ultimo ingresso 19:15)<\/p>\n

– Domenica:\u00a0dalle 14:15 alle 19:45 (ultimo ingresso 19:15)<\/p>\n

Per l’accesso \u00e8 previsto un biglietto d’ingresso di \u20ac 3,00. Sono previste riduzioni e i ragazzi sotto i 18 anni entrano gratuitamente. Ingresso gratuito inoltre per tutti i visitatori nella prima domenica di ogni mese.<\/p>\n

Come arrivare al Tempio del Clitunno<\/h3>\n

L’edificio si trova a due passi dalle celebri Fonti del Clitunno, in via del Tempio 1. La parte superiore \u00e8 visibile gi\u00e0 percorrendo la strada principale, poich\u00e9 il Tempietto si trova sotto il livello della strada.<\/p>\n

The vestibule presents on the front two lateral pillars and four columns sustaining the cornice work and the tympanum. Through two fronts bordering the “pronao” one arrives first to the vestibule and then to the cell completing the nice edifice. In the tympanum as well as in the sculpture decorating the main front of the cell, is represented Costantiniano that entirely preserves his monogram. On the lintel of the front is moulded the dedicatory epigraph: “Scs deus angelorum qui fecit resurectionem”.<\/p>\n
