Ospita la\u00a0<strong>Pinacoteca civica<\/strong>, il\u00a0<strong>Museo Archeologico<\/strong>\u00a0e il\u00a0<strong>Museo multimediale dei tornei, delle giostre e dei giochi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Storia del Palazzo Trinci di Foligno<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\"aligncenter\" title=\"\"Palazzo\" src=\"\"http:\/\/www.bellaumbria.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Palazzo-Trinci-cortile-interno3.jpg\"\" alt=\"\"\"\" width=\"\"590\"\" height=\"\"324\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Alla fine del Trecento, la famiglia Trinci che gi\u00e0 risiedeva nel centro di Foligno decise di ampliare la propria dimora e acquist\u00f2 case e torri adiacenti da un ricco mercante locale. Gli edifici vennero poi ristrutturati in modo da costituire un unico grande complesso, con i lavori che si conclusero nel 1407. Il primo Quattrocento fu d&#8217;altronde un&#8217;epoca d&#8217;oro per i\u00a0Trinci, che ospitarono a palazzo molti studiosi ed umanisti luminari dell&#8217;epoca, tra i quali\u00a0<em>Francesco da Fiano<\/em><strong><em>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pare che fu proprio quest&#8217;ultimo ad ispirare gli <strong>affreschi di Gentile da Fabriano, <\/strong>realizzati dall&#8217;artista in collaborazione con altri pittori della sua bottega, che costituiscono una sorta di<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;vera e propria\u00a0<strong>enciclopedia figurata della cultura umanistica<\/strong>\u00a0dell&#8217;epoca&#8221;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A seguito di varie vicissitudini familiari e politiche, il palazzo divenne per lungo periodo un possedimento dello Stato Pontificio.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\"aligncenter\" title=\"\"Palazzo\" src=\"\"http:\/\/www.bellaumbria.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Palazzo-Trinci-cortile-interno2.jpg\"\" alt=\"\"\"\" width=\"\"590\"\" height=\"\"324\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sub\u00ec negli anni diverse modifiche, le pi\u00f9 significative furono:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>la facciata a met\u00e0 dell&#8217;Ottocento, ristrutturata in stile neoclassico a seguito dei danneggiamenti del terremoto del 1832<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>L&#8217;esterno presenta infatti semicolonne decorative e una particolare sorta di cavalcavia verso la cattedrale, l&#8217;antico accesso che un tempo collegava le abitazioni costruite sulla navata laterale.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>restauri di alcuni ambienti interni e affreschi negli anni &#8217;30, come la Sala Sisto IV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>il cortile a varie ale dell&#8217;edificio, ricostruite a seguito dei bombardamenti che interessarono la zona nel 1944<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<div>Il cortile si caratterizza per i portici con pilastri e le grandi volte a crociera.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>vari restauri interni a seguito dei danni del terremoto del 1997<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Gli affreschi del Museo di Palazzo Trinci<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\"aligncenter\"\" title=\"\"Palazzo-Trinci\"\" src=\"\"http:\/\/www.bellaumbria.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Palazzo-Trinci.jpg\"\" alt=\"\"\"\" width=\"\"590\"\" height=\"\"329\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/\/www.bellaumbria.net\/it\/hotel\/foligno\/\"\" target=\"\"_blank\"\" rel=\"noopener\">>>Vuoi visitare Foligno?
