Non \u00e8 facile, tra le tante bellezze, decidere\u00a0da dove iniziare a visitare Spoleto: noi ti consigliamo di cominciare il tuo itinerario\u00a0dalla maestosa\u00a0Rocca Albornoziana,<\/strong>\u00a0che domina la citt\u00e0. Illustre testimonianza della presenza dei papi e dei governatori a Spoleto la Rocca, delimitata da un alto sistema di mura perimetrali alternate da sei torri squadrate, \u00e8 infatti il simbolo della citt\u00e0 e si divide in due aree distinte: il\u00a0Cortile d\u2019onore<\/strong>, con il Museo nazionale del Ducato e uno spazio polivalente per mostre, concerti e convegni, e il\u00a0Cortile delle armi<\/strong>, con un teatro all\u2019aperto.<\/p>\n

Se non soffri di vertigini, sali sul Ponte delle Torri<\/strong><\/a> che unisce la Rocca e il Monteluco. Questo ponte \u00e8 impressionante e unico nel suo genere: lungo 230 metri e alto 82,<\/strong>\u00a0pare sia stato eretto tra il Duecento e il secolo successivo, dopo il saccheggio di Spoleto da parte del Barbarossa.<\/p>\n

Scendendo, approfitta per immergerti nell’atmosfera dell’impero romano visitando il Teatro Romano\u00a0<\/strong>(I sec. d.C.) che viene ancora utilizzato per spettacoli e rappresentazioni varie. Imbocca quindi via Monterone fino all\u2019incrocio: alla tua destra hai\u00a0Palazzo Mauri<\/strong> (sede della Biblioteca comunale), a sinistra la chiesa di Sant\u2019Ansano<\/strong> e la Cripta di Sant\u2019Isacco<\/strong> – (Secoli XI-XVIII) cos\u00ec anche l\u2019Arco di Druso e Germanico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Prima di arrivare in Piazza del Mercato, volgi lo sguardo a sinistra fino ad incrociare l\u2019ingresso di Palazzo Leti Sensi<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>era il Palazzo del Podest\u00e0, poi storica sede del Consorzio della Bonificazione Umbra, ora utilizzato per mostre ed esposizioni.<\/p>\n

Giunto finalmente in Piazza del Duomo<\/strong>\u00a0tra le cose da vedere a Spoleto c’\u00e8 assolutamente la Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta<\/strong><\/a>, raro esempio di sintesi dell\u2019architettura romanica, che ospita affreschi del Pinturicchio<\/strong> e di Filippo Lippi<\/strong>, e la bella Casa Romana<\/strong> attribuita alla madre dell’imperatore Vespasiano Polla.<\/p>\n
