From 24th to 27th September 2015, don't miss the famous Primi d'Italia Festival, in Foligno, the only national festival who celebrates the first course culture.
If the pasta is the queen of the event, there is much more: rice, soup, corn mush, gnocchi, ravioli, condiments and a lot of excellencies of the italian agro-alimentary sector.
For the occasion, the historical center of Foligno is trasforming to the Village of Taste, a pedestrian way studded with stands and continuing tasting. Walking in the streets of the city, let yourself be guided by the intences fragrances: you will discover over one hundred recipes of first couses and you will taste the authentic flavours of italian cousine.
At his XVII edition, the Primi d'Italia Festival rose from the ranks during the years and affirmed itself as one of the unmissable appointment of September in Umbria. In this edition 2015 too, there will be a lot of guests and chefs occupied with cooking classes, guided tasting and follow-up meeting about nutrition.
There will be a lot of sets-up: from the show-market "La Boutique della Pasta” with the best italian manufacturing plants of pasta, to the exposition and the sale of national and tradizional products, as well as the excellencies of the protected brands.
In the rich program of events, don't miss the Primi d'Italia Shows with concerts, cabaret live and entertainments; the passionates of sports could partecipate to the "Mezza Maratona dei Primi", a marathon who will be a real explosion of colors, happiness, good sportsmanship and upright competitiveness.
Primi d´Italia Junior
The Festival is also junior, and it proposes some events expecially dedicated to the children. At the Library of Palazzo Deli, in fact, there will be a real laboratory to the children. Here, they could discover the principals of a healthy and correct nutrition, having fun with recreational activities, entertainments and manipulation of products, halfway between game and teaching!
For the parents, in contemporary with the laboratories, there will be some brief lessons of nutrition education, a place of information and exchange. The seminary “Rimettersi in carne” is focused by the importance of meet and proteic values of our diet; instead, the meeting “Manovre formative pediatriche” wants to present the main un-obstruction operations of the respiratory tracts.
Not only chefs
The festival includes art too, with the Gallery of the regional and special pasta forms, where you could admire the forms of the regional pasta, the pride of each territory, and above all the most curious and particular forms. The handmade “pastai” are masters of combining forms, ingredients and colours to give life to the most fanciful and original pasta!
Don't miss the Food Fashion, triumph of flair and fantasy, where are modelling some real sculptures and clothings made of pasta.
