A Stroncone, a pochi chilometri da Terni, sta tornando per la 31esima volta l’Agosto Stronconese, contenitore di eventi tra le rievocazioni storico-religiose dedicate al Patrono del paese, Beato Antonio Vici da Stroncone, enogastronomia a cura della Pro Loco e delle 3 Contrade del borgo (dell’Arco, Castello e Santa Lucia), band e cover band dal vivo. Dal 18 Agosto al 1° Settembre 2012.

L’Agosto Stronconese 2012 partirà alle ore 19:00 di Sabato 18 Agosto 2012 con l’apertura delle mostre di artigianato e prodotti locali all’interno del paese. Alle 19:30 aprirà la “Locanda dei Briganti” in Piazza S. Nicolò. Aperta tutti i giorni della kermesse, tranne Lunedì 20 Agosto 2012, giorno della Solenne processione religiosa dal convento di S. Francesco in onore del Beato Antonio Vici. Da notare come i piatti tipici locali saranno serviti da giovani camerieri in costumi ottocenteschi.

3 saranno le rievocazioni storico-religiose, oltre agli antichi mestieri ed alla processione:

  • Rescritto Imperiale. Rievocazione storica dei coinvolgenti avvenimenti che, nel 1809 sotto la guida di Padre Angelico Coletti, portarono alla partenza di 20 giovani Stronconesi alla volta di Assisi, per riportare al paese natio il corpo incorrotto dell’amato e venerato Beato. Dalle 21:30 in Piazza della Libertà nel giorno di apertura della kermesse, Sabato 18;
  • Cambio della Guardia con con tamburini e guardie civiche in costume d’epoca. Il 20, 21, 25 e 31 Agosto 2012 ore 19:00, Piazza della Libertà;
  • Corteo Storico. Rievocazione storica, in abiti del 1809, del ritorno di Padre Angelico Coletti e dei venti giovani stronconesi da Assisi con il corpo incorrotto del Beato Antonio Vici. San Lorenzo – Stroncone, Lunedì 27 Agosto 2012 ore 21:30.

Ognuna delle 3 Contrade avrà l’organizzazione di un’intera giornata, abbinando una diversa “mini-sagra” con spettacoli teatrali, musicali, animazione per bambini e tornei. La giornata della Contrada dell’Arco sarà il 19 Agosto 2012; la Contrada Castello sarà “in carica” Venerdì 24 Agosto 2012; Domenica 26 Agosto 2012 giornata a cura della Contrada Santa Lucia.

Inoltre, Martedì 28 Agosto 2012 a partire dalle 21:30 sul palco di Piazza della Libertà saliranno gli Altoforno.

Franci in honor of the Blessed Antonio Vici. Note how the typical local dishes will be served by young waiters in nineteenth-century costumes.

3 will be religious-historical re-enactments, as well as traditional crafts and the procession:

  • Rescritto Imperiale (Imperial Edict). Historical reenactment of the involving events that, in 1809 under the guidance of Father Angelico Coletti, led to the departure of 20 young Stronconesi to Assisi, to bring back to his hometown the incorrupt body of the beloved and revered Blessed. From 21:30 at Piazza della Libertà on the opening day of the event, Saturday 18th;
  • Changing of the Guard with tambourines and home guards in period costume. 20, 21, 25 and August 31st, 2012 at 19:00, Piazza della Libertà;
  • Historical Parade. Historical re-enactment, in costumes of 1809, OF the return of Father Angelico Coletti and of the twenty young Stronconesi from Assisi with the incorrupt body of the Blessed Antonio Vici. San Lorenzo – Stroncone, Monday, August 27th, 2012 at 21:30.

Each of the 3 Contrade will organize a full day, combining a different “mini-food festival” with theater, music, entertainment for children and tournaments.
