Il 4 e 5 Agosto 2012 arriva alla sua quarta edizione “AESTIVUM”, la Mostra Mercato del Tartufo Estivo e della Rosa. A Cascia (PG) saranno due giorni di full-immersion sul tartufo estivo, il prodotto per eccellenza della Valnerina. Fari puntati soprattutto sulla sua raccolta e conservazione, senza tralasciare le modalità di impiego in cucina. Ma la mostra sarà anche sulla Rosa Canina, fiore diffusissimo nella valle e che spesso e volentieri si trova negli stessi ambienti, le tartufaie, del tuber aestivum, chiamato volgarmente Scorzone.

Nel centro storico della cittadina verranno allestiti circa 30 stand per la vendita delle migliori produzioni locali legate all’agroalimentare (come zafferano, lenticchia e farro),  con particolare ed ovvia presenza di espositori di tartufo. I banchi, dislocati tra piazza Garibaldi, piazza Mario Magrelli e piazza San Francesco,  apriranno i battenti alle ore 12:00 e Sabato 4 Agosto 2012 chiuderanno a mezzanotte, mentre Domenica 5 Agosto 2012 alle ore 20:00. Ad aprire Aestivum 2012 l’incontro “Il tartufo estivo e la rosa”, a cura del Comune di Cascia e dell’Associazione tartufai – tartuficoltori “Pietro Fontana”, che si terrà alle ore 10:00 nella sala San Pancrazio del Comune.

Tra i momenti più attesi certamente le degustazioni di tartufoAppena cavato e già sulla tavola”:

  • Sabato 4 Agosto 2012 con ticket ed accompagnate da intrattenimento musicale nel centro storico, a partire dalle ore 20:00;
  • Domenica 5 Agosto 2012, a partire dalle ore 18:00, gratuite e presso i padiglioni della mostra mercato in piazza Garibaldi.

Il programma prevede inoltre laboratori didattici, spettacoli e mostre. Ed anche la presentazione, Domenica 5 Agosto 2012 dalle ore 10:30 presso la Sala San Pancrazio del Comune di Cascia, dell’Atlante fotografico “L’Acqua, la Terra, la Pietra – I Paesaggi umani della Valnerina”: 300 scatti (formato 30×20) realizzati dal fotografo Massimo Chiappini.

In the historic center of the town about 30 booths will be set up for the sale of the best local products related to  food processing (such as saffron, lentil and emmer), with particular and obvious presence of exhibitors of truffle. The stalls, located between Piazza Garibaldi, Piazza San Francesco and Piazza Mario Magrelli, will open its doors at 12:00 and Saturday, August 4th, 2012 and will close at midnight, while Sunday, August 5th, 2012 at 20:00. 2012 Aestivum will be opened by the meeting “Il tartufo estivo e la rosa” (“The summer truffle and the rose”), by the Municipality of Cascia and the “Pietro Fontana” truffle Association. At 10:00 am at the Sala San Pancrazio of the Town Hall.

Among the most expected moments of course the tastings of truffleAppena cavato e già sulla tavola” (“Just dug and already on the table“):

  • Saturday, August 4th, 2012 with ticket and accompanied by musical entertainment in the historic centre, starting at 20:00;
  • Sunday, August 5th, 2012, beginning at 18:00, free and in the halls of the exhibition market in Piazza Garibaldi.
 The programme also includes educational workshops, performances and exhibitions.
