2011-2012 Umbria Gospel Festival: Soul Christmas

It will return again, from December 8th, 2011 to January 1st, 2012, the "winter version" of Trasimeno Blues, called Umbria Gospel Festival: Soul Christmas. In some of the most beautiful borghi of Umbria, Paciano, Castigione del Lago, Città della Pieve, Passignano sul Trasimeno, Panicale, Spoleto, Gubbio, Città di Castello, Ellera and San Mariano di Corciano, you can attend sensational encounters between spirituality and culture, tradition and music, art and pleasure. Power of the Gospel, Funk, Soul, R'n'B and beautiful theaters and churches that will host the 2011-2012 Umbria Gospel Festival.

9 appointments and a preview: on December 8th, 2011 in Paciano, (PG) 21:30, Church of Santa Maria Assunta, the Soul of Gospel Revue feat. Quiet Place, directed by singer, teacher and lecturer in Gospel native of Pennsylvania Knagui. Free Admission.

"True" starting Friday, December 23rd at the Cloister of San Nicolò in Spoleto (PG), 21:30, with the New York Spirit of Gospel. Twelve elements of the U.S., with great voice and great pace, which combine tradition and modernity of black music, from gospel to Rythm'n'Blues. Admission € 10.00, reduced € 5.00.

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 at 21:30, the degli Illuminati Theatre of Città di Castello (PG) will host Kathy Taylor & Favor, refined ensemble of nine singers directed by Kathy Taylor. Admission € 10.00, reduced € 5.00.

Special event on the night of December 31st, 2011, between 2011 New Year's Eve and 2012 New Year's Day. From 22:30 at the Urbani Auditorium of Passignano (PG) explosion of music and rhythm with The Funk & Soul Night Explosion. Many excellent musicians will alternate on stage in a show presented by Sherrita Duran and James Thompson. The first, originally from California, will be accompanied on guitar by Michele De Leo; Francesca Morandi on bass; Marco Mengoni on drums and Enrico Salvato on piano The second, for many years Zucchero's saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist (saxophone, flute, vocals), will bring with him the James Thompson Project: Salvo Sese at the guitar; Vonn Washington on bass; Claudio Vignali on keyboards and Adriano Molinari on drum.
