2011/2012 Mancinelli Theatre of Orvieto (TR) Theatre Season: Intese

From Carlo Giuffrè to Monica Guerritore, from Silvio Orlando to Alba Rohrwacher. And Elio Germano, Paola Gassman, Edoardo Siravo, Luciano Virgilio, Pamela Villoresi, Emma Dante, Toni Servillo and many others: the 2011/2012 Theatre Season of the Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto (TR), consisting of twenty appointments, offers a varied program from classics to modern, from comedies to dramas, from classical ballet to cabaret. And full of big names. The name chosen for this new theatre season is Intese (Arrangements).

After Madame Buttefly, previewing of the Season staged by the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale of Spoleto (October 1st, 2011), and after the show non-subscription Mamma Mia! By Catherine Johanson, musical and the preview of the "FESTA DELLA CREATIVITA' - AMATEATRO", made by the Mastro Titta company, the official opening of the 2011/2012 season of the Mancinelli Theatre will be entrusted to Edipo (Oedipus), with Paola Gassman, Edoardo Siravo and extraordinary participation by Luciano Virgilio. Adapted and directed are signed by Maurizio Panici. On October 29th, 2011 at 21:00.
Presented by Tuscia Film Fest, will also be host at the theater of Orvieto Toni Servillo with Toni Servillo legge Napoli (Toni Servillo reads Naples), an excursion through the writings of poets and men of theater in a very lively language. Tuesday, November 1st, 2011 from 18:00.

After years of absence, returns to Mancinelli, April 14th (at 21:00) and 15th (from 17:00), 2012, Emma Dante, with the show she wrote and directed La trilogia degli occhiali (The trilogy of glasses), composed by three autonomous chapters but linked by common themes such as poverty, disease, old age.

For the lovers of the dance, the Season offers the Ballet de Cuba in Havana de Hoy (Thursday, December 8th, at 18:00), the classical ballet Giselle in the interpretation of the famous and prestigious association Slovak National Theatre (Friday, January 6th, 2012 at 21:00). Follows the Rome Ballet with Contemporary Tango (Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at 21:00), while the Mvuli Sungani Company, led by Emanuela Bianchini, presents Italia, la mia Africa (Italy, my Africa) (Sunday, February 26th, 2012 18:00).

In the appointments out of subscription space also at the classical ballet with the Il lago dei cigni (Swan Lake) presented by the Rostov State Opera Ballet (Saturday, January 21st, 2012 at 21:00) and two big appointments with the cabaret: Maurizio Battista with Il mio secondo matrimonio (My second marriage) (Saturday, February 11th, 2012 at 21:00) and the unmissable Zelig-themed evening with Emo, il Signor Verducci and Rocco il gigolò (Saturday, March 10th, 2012 at 21:00).
