Segni Barocchi Festival 2010 - XXXI Edizione

At Foligno, since 1981, during the month of September, takes place the Festival Segni Barocchi, historical Umbrian event known and waiting around the area, that includes musical and theatrical performances, film shows, exhibitions and generally any other form of art that reflects somehow the Baroque era.

It opens the August 28th the XXXI Edition of Segni Barocchi Festival 2010, an exhibition project on the baroque fairy tale, this year dedicated to the fairy tales of Giambattista Basile (1566 or 1575-1632), presented by Mariella Carbone.
The inauguration of the exhibition with artist's book, edited by Emanuele De Donno, is scheduled August 28 th at the Palazzo Trinci, 11 hours.
The exhibition will run throughout the festival.
The same day will be presented at the Auditorium San Domenico at 21:15, "Dove elce verdeggia" a multimedia show, organized by Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto "A. Belli" under the artistic direction of Carlo Palleschi, coordinated by Michelangelo Zurletti.
Many events planned, not to forget especially the Notte Barocca scheduled for September 4 during which remain open, with free admission to the Museo della Città and the Museo Multimediale dei Tornei, delle Giostre e dei Giochi (Palazzo Trinci) (phone 0742.330584, 0742.330599 fax, museotrinci@comune.foligno.pg.it) and of course shops, restaurants and taverns of the Giostra della Quintana's districts, who will be animated with games, performances and touring bands!
