Perugia
Perugia, die große alte Arce Guelfa liegt in der Mitte Umbriens, mit seinen fünf historischen Stadtteilen noch von Etruskischen Mauern umgeben: riesige viereckige Basteien (gebaut vor etwa 22 Jahrhunden) sind noch heute teils sichtbar.
Assisi
Assisi liegt auf den Abhängen des Berg Subasio, oberhalb des Tals, wo die Flüsse Topino und Chiascio fließen.
Bevagna
Die alte Stadt Bevagna (ursprünglich Mevania in der römischen Zeit) liegt nicht weit von Foligno, im selben Tal, auf den Abhängen des Hügels von Montefalco, bei dem Fluss Timia.
Cascia
The town of Cascia is situated at 563 meters above sea level near the Corno river. Cascia was founded during Roman times, even if nothing remains which remembers those times, due to devastation by barbaric tribes and the earthquakes which have always disturbed the town and the neighbouring cities.
Castiglione del Lago
Castiglione del Lago has been constructed on a limestone cliff cape on the east side of the Trasimeno Lake. Etrurians were probably the first to occupy this area, as confirmed by the findings of tombs in the area.
Città della Pieve
It is supposed that, already Etrurians and Romans, had established at the same place where today Città della Pieve rises.
Città di Castello
For the most part still surrounded by town walls dating back to the 16th century, the town of Città di Castello spreads out along the Tiber valley, on the spot where the Romans had founded the township of Tifernum Tiberinum.
Deruta
The origins of Deruta remain for the most part obscure. Of certainty are its links to Perugia, which has always been a valid bastion to the south, toward Todi, whose role is to this day witness of its fortified castle appearance.
Foligno
Foligno ist eine der seltenen auf der Ebene gegründeten Städte Umbriens, am Ufer des Flusses Topino. Das Gebiet wurde schon in römischer Zeit, und später von 15. bis 19. Jh. entwässert.
Gubbio

Situated at 604 meters above sea level between the Sordo and Torbidone rivers, the town of Norcia, in ancient times known as "Nursia",is the region's largest town.
Passignano sul Trasimeno
The most ancient nucleus of Passignano sul Trasimeno is still today encircled by the middle age walls which testify the development the center underwent during the Roman Empire, evolving from a small agricultural village to a castle, which, after the Lordship of Uguccione II in the 917, was constantly aimed at by Arezzo, Perugia and Florence.
Spello
Spello rises up between Assisi and Foligno, situated on a spur of the Subasio Mountain above a fertile and well-irrigated plain.
Spoleto
Obwohl Spoleto klare römische Einflüsse in der Struktur der Stadt zeigt, ist das ganze Aussehen stark vom Mittelalter (besonders vom Frühmittelalter, der Zeit des Langobardischen Herzogtums und später vom Kirchenstaat) geprägt.
Todi

Trevi
As with the the greater part of the medieval towns in this area, Trevi rises up on a hill dominating the plain where the river Clitunno flows, between Foligno and Spoleto.
Umbertide
Umbertide, which, in the area, is second in importance only to Città di Castello, was founded at around the 10th century according to the wishes of Uberto son of the King of Italy, and took the name of "Fracta filiorum Uberti".
