Pane, Prosciutto & Fantasia 2011 - Bread, Ham & Imagination 2011

At Preci, a common set in the Sibillini National Park, will be held from 2 to July 3, 2011 the event Pane, Prosciutto & Fantasia - Bread, Ham & Imagination, now in its eleventh edition. The event was created to promote the product "prince" of the territory, the Norcia ham PGI. An optimal climate and hard work made with manufacturing techniques handed down from generations, are the elements that determined the quality of cured ham, enough to convince the EU to recognize the Protected Geographical Identification protecting the quality and 'ancient culinary tradition of the butchery.

Fulcrum of the event will be the fair featuring local products housed in the cellars of the historic center of town: you can taste and buy, in addition to Norcia ham PGI and other pork-butchers, Monteleone farro, Castelluccio lentils PGI, honey, cheeses, trout, saffron, biscuits, wines, olive oil and truffles.

A blast from the past is assured with the evocation of the ancient crafts such as blacksmith, basket maker and saddler in the cellars and we will witness the production of bread, pork, cheese, and the ancient grinding grain to flour.

And for the little "La Fattoria dei bambini" - "The children's farm", an outdoor laboratory to engage in trades than once. Children can "play" to make bread, to make the sausages and cheese.

A week-end accessible for everyone and for everyone tastes, but also for "rediscovering" ancient traditions between visits to medieval villages, wine tastings, exhibitions and conferences.
