2011 Olivagando, Festa dell'Olio e dei Sapori d'Autunno (Oil and Tastes of the Autumn Festival)

On November 19th and 20th, 2011 Magione (PG) will host 2011 Olivagando - Festa dell'Olio e dei Sapori d'Autunno (Oil and Tastes of the Autumn Festival). Stands and stalls of typical producers in the streets, the alleys of the Old Town and in the restored Frā Giovanni da Pian del Carpini square. The King of the Festival will be, of course, the new olive oil. And its "footboys" are wines, chestnuts, walnuts, truffles and its sauces, cheeses and cold cuts.

En plus conferences, mini-tasting courses and the third edition of Estemporanea di Pittura (a Paint-Off) on the theme: "Magione in tricolore - omaggio al 150° dell'Unitā d'Italia" (Magione in tricolour - homage at the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy) The painting competition provides impromptu execution of a painting (oil, tempera, watercolor, etc.. On canvas or adequate support) to be carried out during 2011 Olivagando, specifically between the 9:00 and 17:00 hours of Saturday, November 19th, 2011. The organizing committee will stamp the canvas between 8:00 and 9:00 at the Carpine Cinema of Piazza Matteotti. The projects must be delivered between 16:30 and 17:30, again at Carpine Cinema. The best artwork will receive 3 "premi-acquisto" ("purchase-award"): the best will receive € 500.00, € 300.00 for the second, € 200.00 to the third.
