International Festival of Folklore

A festival known throughout the world that has conquered during its history a special place in the cultural landscape of national and international.
Focusing on the folklore, pursuing since its inception in 1978, the main purpose of promoting cultural exchange between traditional groups for knowledge and deepening of the folk traditions of different countries.
The event, founded with the town of Castiglione del Lago and the Tourism Promotion of Lake Trasimeno, is organized by the folk group "Agilla and Trasimeno.
Great events planned for the 2010 edition:
August 1 - Folk Group from Italy "Agilla e Trasimeno", from Colombia "Folclorico Danzar Colombia ", from Albania "Qarkut Tiranes", from Hungary Ensamble "Tapiomente".
August 8 - Folk Groups from Argentina "Ballet Folklorico Municipal de Azul" , from Russia Folk Ensamble "Goretz", from Belorus People's Dance Ensamble "Kryzhachok" .

August 15 – Folk Groups from Georgia Folk Dance Ensamble "Nartebi" , from Serbia Folk Dance Ensamble "Spanac" , from Brazil Grupo de Tradicoes Populares "Acaua da Serra" , from Italy "Agilla e Trasimeno".

Gubbio No Borders

Gubbio No Borders in Umbria from 11 to 26 August 2010.
Under the artistic direction of Massimo Manzi, the ninth edition of the Jazz Festival, a relatively young event, which since 2002 gives Gubbio summer jazz concerts and outdoor shows where to find places to rediscover the beauty of Gubbio.
NB: In case of bad weather concerts will be held at the Astra Cinema Corso Garibaldi meetings of the section Film and Literature at the Center Services Holy Spirit.
