L'Italia Prima dell'Italia - The Italy Before of the Italy

After the great success of public gotten at the Centro Studi Manzoniani - House of the Manzoni in Milan, from the 17 to the June 19 th 2011 it arrives in the small feudal suburb of Civitella del Lago, common of Baschi in the province of Terni, the review L'Italia Prima dell'Italia - The Italy Before of the Italy, maps and topographical of Italy from 1478 to 1861.

L'Italia Prima dell'Italia will be an exhibition of important maps of Italy, some of which are known in a single original. It will be also presented its catalog, full-color, 156 pages, with images and descriptions of 59 maps.

The show, the first ever mapping of “the Boot” on the images, forms part of the official celebrations of 150 years of the Unification of Italy: the beautiful and rare images of Italy that, as such, that "United", appears in many pictures, printed in the major centers of production and geographical science in Europe, inspiring a deep sense of moral unity and ancient, languages ​​and cultures.
