2011 Frantoi Aperti (Open House at the Oil Mills), 14th edition

Now in its 14th edition Frantoi Aperti (Open House at the Oil Mills), the event which runs along the Umbria DOP Oil Road. Starting from October 29th, 2011, and for seven weekends (last appointments between December 8th and 11th, 2011) "finger-licking", 10 municipalities (Trevi, Giano dell'Umbria, Isola Polvese, Spoleto, Assisi, Campello sul Clitunno, Castel Ritaldi, Valtopina, Gualdo Cattaneo and Spello, all in the province of Perugia) and 31 mills (also in the province of Terni, ed) will organize guided tours of the mills, oil tastings, cultural events such as music and theater. All appointments with one common denominator: the Umbria DOP extra virgin olive oil, one of the "excellence" of the "cuore verde d'Italia" ("green heart of Italy").

As already mentioned, it will start from the weekend October 29th - November 1st, 2011, with four events:
1) Trevi - FestivOl 5, tra olio, arte, musica e papille - October 29th and 30th;
2) Giano dell'Umbria – La Mangiaunta (pdf 456 kb) - October 29th and 30th;
3) Isola Polvese – I prodotti d'autunno incontrano l'olio nuovo;
4) Spoleto - "Frantoi Aperti a Spoleto".

November 5th and 6th, 2011:
1) Assisi – Profumi e sapori d'autunno, bruschetta in piazza;
2) Campello sul Clitunno – Festa dei Frantoi;
3) Castel Ritaldi – Frantotipico;
4) Spoleto – "Frantoi Aperti a Spoleto".

November 12th and 13th, 2011:
Spoleto - "Frantoi Aperti a Spoleto".

November 19th and 20th, 2011:
1) Valtopina - Mostra Mercato Nazionale del Tartufo di Valtopina;
2) Gualdo Cattaneo - Sapere di Pane, sapore di Olio, bianco e verde tra i castelli;
3) Spoleto – "Frantoi Aperti a Spoleto".

November 26th and 27th, 2011:
1) Valtopina - Mostra Mercato Nazionale del Tartufo di Valtopina;
2) Giano dell'Umbria - Le vie dell'Olio, Festa della Frasca;
3) Spoleto – "Frantoi Aperti a Spoleto".

December 3rd and 4th, 2011:
Spoleto – "Frantoi Aperti a Spoleto".

December 8th – 11th, 2011:
1) Spello - L' Oro di Spello e 50a festa dell'Olivo e sagra della bruschetta;
2) Spoleto – "Frantoi Aperti a Spoleto".
