Description
The Morlacchi Theatre built on an old convent from 1777 by architect from PerugiaAlessio Lorenzini, with 27 stages for each of the 5 orders. In 1781 the theater wasinaugurated with the name "Civic Theatre of Verzaro", and a rated capacity ofcirca1200 spectators.
Between 1951 and 1953, the Municipality of Perugia funded new works and the theater was largely restored, the stage was enlarged and two galleries were built.
