2011 Fiera delle Utopie Concrete (2011 Concrete Utopias' Fair), 19th edition

The Fiera delle Utopie Concrete (Concrete Utopias' Fair) was born in 1988 from an idea by Alexander Langer, with the intention of being a "Community Sustainability" of the Upper Tiber Valley, proposing and developing ideas for a sustainable future conjugate to good daily practices.
The theme of this 19th edition, October 20th to 22nd in Citta di Castello (PG) is Rio+20 - The far-sightedness: environmental sustainability in territorial perspective, setting the far-sightedness as an ecological virtue strictly connected, 20 years after the first conference on Environment and Development by the United Nations, also called the Earth Summit, held in Rio in June 1992, and a few months, in June 2012, by Rio +20, from the new United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.

There will be meetings, panel discussions, projects, exhibitions and installations.
Each day will have a specific title: Thursday 20th, after the inauguration of the Fair at 9:00 am at the Sala degli Specchi of the Palazzo Bufalini in Citta di Castello, from 9:30 until 16:30 will be the Local Energy Day - Put the actors in the network for sustainable development. Within the thursday's program will also be presented the Green Pages of Umbria, a practical medium for finding information about where you can purchase the goods or services that make feasible a more sustainable lifestyle.

Friday 21st, during the International Year of Forests, proclaimed by the United Nations, will be talked about Forests for society - The society of the forests. From 9 to 16, again at the Sala degli Specchi of Palazzo Bufalini.

Saturday 22nd, from 10 to 13, Yesterday's future, the future of tomorrow.

We said that there will be exhibitions. Two to be exact. For the duration of the event, with hours from 9 to 17 at the Quadrilatero di Palazzo Bufalini, you can visit "The Community Sustainability Upper Umbria" and "The Forests of Umbria."
