Festival dei due Mondi 2011

From 24 June to 10 July 2011 back to the 54th edition of the Festival dei due mondi di Spoleto, the event created in 1958 to promote cultural exchange between Italy and the United States.

This year the Festival celebrates an important date, the centenary of the birth of Maestro Giancarlo Menotti, who inspired the show and star in the choice of artists and young talents that populate the stage each year of the Festival.

As each year are many initiatives and guests expected for a fortnight that will make Spoleto capital of theater and art. For the 2011 edition has also been put Umbria Area, an area of ​​over 300 square meters which will host guests at the festival including journalists, artists and sponsors.

Among the initiatives promoted during the festival out the event "Take an adult theater" that provides discounts for parents that will accompany the children between 0 and 18 years to attend one of the shows affiliated with the initiative.

Always around the boys he was promoted to the competition "The Festival is us" who have been invited to participate in school children elementary and middle of Spoleto with the task of recounting the past editions of the festival through the collection and processing photos, documents and material related to the Festival dei due Mondi.
