More than 300 professionals including tour operators, companies, journalists, bloggers and enotourism players, over 40 different countries. Tastings, press tours, case histories from around the world and a workshop. For the first time in Italy comes the IWINETC, the fourth edition of the International Wine Tourism Conference & Workshop. Organized by the Wine Pleasures and MTV (Movimento Turismo del Vino, i. e. Wine Tourism Movement, collects more than 1,000 Italian wineries, ed), in Perugia, from January 30th to February 2nd, 2012. The main venue is the Hotel Giò Wine e Jazz Area in Perugia.
2012 IWINETC will be 4 days full of appointments. From January 30th to February 1st, 2012there will be more than 40 reports, roundtables, planetary sessions and other activities. Every day five macro issues will be addressed. Theme of this fourth edition will be the promotion of enotourism on different geographical levels of interactivity at the time of the Socials, the tablets and smartphones: 2.0 wine tourism; Twitter and Facebook: augmented reality; apps; Roads of Wine 2.0. Now the new media, according to data 2011 Censis - Città del Vno, are the tool used by 30% of Italian wine tourists to arrange their holiday.
All lectures are in English.
But there will be not only "academic" appointments. In fact, there are also theme nights, wine tastings and visits to wineries and vineyards with experts from all over Europe: from the Italy Grand Tasting, by the 'Master of Wine', Jane Hunt (January 30th at 19:00) to the "Tutta Puglia" tasting by MTV Puglia (January 31st, 17:00); from passito wines tasting from MTV Umbria (February 1st at 18:30), to the Croatia and Umbria themed dinners. Plus cultural tours, gastronomy and much more.
The Workshop Day will be February 2nd, where the Italian wine tourism meet the International demand. Around 40 tour operators will be present.
