La rocca di Alviano, in puro stile rinascimentale, dopo la ricostruzione voluta da Bartolomeo d’Alviano nel 1495, il quale lo sottrasse alle pretese delle vicine città di Todi e di Orvieto, offre al suo interno elementi di intenso pregio architettonico, come il cortile, a pianta quadrata, circondato da archi a tutto sesto.

Oggi il castello ospita il Municipo di Alviano, un museo d’Arte Moderna, dotato di una collezione permanente di alcune centinaia di opere realizzate da artisti contemporanei, e il Centro di documentazione audiovisiva dell’Oasi gestita dal WWF.

Il castello viene inoltre utilizzato come Centro Congressi, dotato di strutture moderne e funzionali.
