2012 Enologica Montefalco

From September 14th to 16th, 2012 3 days dedicated to Sagrantino di Montefalco wine and its culture, thanks to the 33rd edition of Enologica Montefalco, in Montefalco.
The event, which has become a must for all regional and non wine lovers, will examine the Sagrantino in all its aspects with a “banco d'assaggio” (tasting table), book presentations, conferences, walks of tastes, concerts, rediscovery of traditional cuisine and the “scuole di assaggio” ("schools of taste"), guided by expert sommeliers.

Enologica33's theme will be “Sagrantino, per tradizione, per contrasto, per amore!” ("Sagrantino, by tradition, by contrast, for love!") and the event will open on Friday, September 14th, 2012 at 12:00 at the Complex of S. Agostino, Corso Mameli, with the inauguration of the “Banco d'Assaggio dei Vini di Montefalco”. The Tasting Table will observe the following schedule:

• September 14th, 2012 from 12:00 to 23:00;
• September 15th, 2012 from 11:00 to 23:00;
• September 16th, 2012 from 11:00 to 19:00.

Back again this year “La passeggiata dei sapori sulla strada del Sagrantino” (The walk of tastes on the Sagrantino way, visits to two cellars of the area) with two appointments. On September 15th, at 16:00, September 16th at 10:00. In both cases, appointment at Piazza del Comune and reservation required (cost € 15.00).

Inevitables the tastings with expert sommeliers. Titled “A scuola di assaggio: Sagrantino per tradizione, per contrasto, per amore” ("At school of taste: Sagrantino by tradition, by contrast, for love". At the complex of S. Agostino Saturday, September 15th at 15:00, 18:00 and on Sunday, September 16th, 2012 at 12:00. Seats are limited and reservations are required, costs € 25.00.

The first 2 days of 2012 Enologica Montefalco will be closed from music, from 19:30 at Corso Mameli and at the Cloister of S. Agostino. Jazz concerts, thanks to the collaboration with the Young Jazz Festival, and Baroque music, thanks to the collaboration with 2012 Segni Barocchi Festival. The concerts will be totally free.

In addition to the main draw, there will be a series of side events, with the wine cellars which will offer guided tours to the farms.
