The fifteenth edition of the Festival Pianistico di Spoleto (Piano Festival of Spoleto) was dedicated to the bicentenary of Franz Liszt and to the centenary of the birth of Gian Carlo Menotti. And Spoleto (PG), to celebrate the Master who in 1958 founded the Festival dei Due Mondi (Festival of Two Worlds), December 9th and 10th2011, at 21:00 (with preview for schools Friday, December 9th, 2011, at 10:00), precisely at the Caio Melisso Theatre, will host the operetta in two acts for soloists, chorus and piano Chip and his dogChip e il suo cane.

The opera, for children and National première in his new production, is a rare work. It was first performed in May 1979 in the city of Guelph, Canada, and in 1997 at the Festival of Two Worlds.
At the piano and artistic director will be Laura Magnani, in 1997 at the piano, too, and now director of the Festival Pianistico di Spoleto.Annalisa Pellegrini will conduct and prepare the voices, Graziano Sirci director, Loretta Bonamente as assistant director, will take care of the multimedia scenography Luca Paluello and costumes by Marco Nateri.

The soloists will be kids aged from 6 to 15 years, selected in the Civica Scuola delle Arti del Municipio Roma 3. The children's choir will be a fusion between elements of the Civica Scuola delle Arti del Municipio Roma 3, the "Winckelmann" Children's Choir of Rome edited by Donatella Casa and the "Pianciani - Manzoni" Middle School Choir of Spoleto, curated by Alessandra Natalini.
