  FOOD AND WINE

Let's taste the new umbrian oil EVO with Frantoi Aperti 2013 which starts on November 1st: tastings, festivals, concerts and shows along the Road of Dop Umbria, with the center of the extra virgin olive oil DOP Umbria. 

November is also the moment of white truffles and Umbria has two events dedicated to the precious tuber. The first event takes place in Città di Castello from 31th October to 3rd November and it's named The White Truffle, 2013 - XXXIV National Exhibition. Among some of the most picturesque corners of the city you will find market-exhibitions, workshops, tastings, cooking demonstrations, truffle dogs races and many events such as art, music and entertainment.

The second event is the 2013 Gubbio National Exhibition of the White Truffle and Food. The event will take place in the historic center in some of the most beautiful and important buildings such as Palazzo Consoli. Tasting tables, sensory workshops, teaching workshops, monologues about the world of wine and food, and presentations of the most interesting new publications in the field of cooking. The 32nd edition will start on October 30th and will end on November 3rd, 2013.

In the characteristic medieval village of Montone from 31th October to 3rd November, there will be 2013 Festa del Bosco. Colors, flavors and odors of blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, mushrooms, truffles, honey, roasted chestnuts and cold cuts. And then taverns, local crafts of wood and wrought iron, hiking and walking in search of the fruits of the woods, painting exhibitions, conferences, concerts and shows.

Another exhibition market that we announce is Mostra Mercato dello Zafferano Purissimo di Cascia 2013. For the 12th edition, from 1st to 3rd November 2013, "Cascia saffron" will be dissected in all its aspects, from the publications and art exhibitions to the shopping area, from tastings to tours to the cultivated fields and to manufacturers, not to mention the special menus of the restaurants in Cascia, live music and shows.

ART, CULTURE AND HISTORY

In Città di Castello is going to prepare a better world thanks to 2013 Fiera delle Utopie Concrete. The festival is proposed to combine sustainable future and good practices daily. The theme of the 20th edition will be " Towards a green economy and fair " , developed from 18th October to 2nd November 2013 through meetings, panel discussions, projects, exhibitions and installations.

Up to 6th November at the Umbertide Rocca  - Centre for Contemporary Art it will be possible to admire the exhibition of Rometti Ceramics. 94 ceramics will be exhibited, many of which are unpublished.

There will be another appointment with art in Ponte San Giovanni, which will host the exhibition of the artist Sauro Cardinali, "The Words They lift the World". Always attentive and engaged in the transformation of the image, the painter has conducted research in the use of the symbol and materials . Winner of major competitions is currently professor of painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti " Pietro Vannucci " in Perugia .

OTHERS

In Perugia Pian di Massiano there will be the historical appointment with 2013 Fiera dei Morti. The Fiera is one of the most famous and oldest in Italy, since the first written records date from about the Middle Ages, 1260, when it was called "All Saints Fair." And it is also among the largest, with more than 500 vendors with their stalls to visit where, perhaps, already purchase the first Christmas gifts.
