In Montefalco, Castel Viscardo, Bevagna, Torgiano, Spoleto and Umbertide comes the 15th Umbrian edition of Calici di Stelle (Chalices fo Stars), an event that allows wine lovers to taste the fine wine from Umbria in some of the most picturesque squares and villages of the Green Heart of Italy during the St. Lawrence's night, The Night of the Shooting Stars, August 10th, 2012.
In Montefalco 2012 Calici di Stelle is included in the programme of 2012 Agosto Montefalchese, from 21:30 in Piazza del Comune.
In Torgiano the evening will take place along the streets of the town: by buying the tickets you can taste typical Umbrian dishes presented by Pro Loco and local restaurants and the wines from the Strada dei Vini del Cantico. The event also includes music and exhibitions, then finishes with a wonderful fireworks display.
Filippo Silvestri square is the frame of Bevagna, between tastings and shows.
Castel Viscardo will propose to the wine tourists a wine walk, art exhibitions and the award “Il Grappolo d’oro” to the character who best knew how to sustain and enhance the wine sector.
3 urban trekkings will be instead the protagonists of Spoleto: 3 routes, 3 "travels" to discover the most hidden Spoleto, to arrive in Piazza Collicola where besides the usual tastings there will be music by Francesco Bussotti and the spectacle of the Scuola di Teatro Teodelapio.
Umbertide tastings will be accompanied by “norcinerie” and typical local cuisine. Mercato square.
Furthermore, the wine cellars Antonelli San Marco of Montefalco, Terre Margaritelli of Torgiano, the Farm Di Filippo of Cannara, the cellar Castello Montevibiano Vecchio of Marsciano and the Cantina Todini of Todi will host themed nights with dinners and pathways in company and in vineyard.
