Environment. Territory between reality, planning and future

The congress "Environment. Territory between reality, planning and future" will take place on 9th June 2011 from 8.00 to 20.00 inside the Auditorium of Palazzo Primavera in Terni; the meeting will deal with the same subject already discussed during a 1972 meeting in Stockholm: earth as a capital to preserve, considering the critical relationship between growth and ecosystem and the irreversible process created by the exploitation of non renewable resources".

The meeting is sponsored by the Region Umbria, the region's presidency, the province and the municipality of Terni. Its aim is to start a debate about programs, handling of sustainable areas and valorization of rivers, comparing studies and experiences on the sustainable use of environmental resources.

Politicians, journalists and experts will participate, talking about many subjects connected to promotion and valorization of the territory, nature and landscape, trying to include in the debate municipalities and local companies which already operate in Valnerina.
