August in Montefalco 2010

August in Montefalco 2010 back to animate the charming Umbrian town from 1st to 21th August 2010 with a lot of the unmissable events .

The event focuses on the historical reconstruction of the city neighborhoods during the Renaissance in which they are reproduced uses and customs of the time.
The square of Certame and all the old town center will alive with color and atmosphere typical of the early Renaissance.
We rememeber the event Corsa dei Bovi which repeats a non-bloody ancient tradition of city.
Saint Agostino, Saint Bartolomeo, Saint Fortunato and Saint Francesco, the 4 districts of the city, play in competitions and shows exciting.
We remember also the crossbow, the historical parade and flag-wavers.
During the event, concerts of light music, classical and popular music, theater, the expected appointment with Goblets of Stars August 10, the night of shooting stars, dedicated and embellished by tasting of the famous local wines.
Taverns open, to discover the most beautiful corners of the city, August 6 to 21, where you can taste typical dishes of local cuisine accompanied by the famous Sagrantino Montefalco Rosso.
August in Montefalco is one of the most popular summer events that Umbria has always been the aim of enhancing the cultural and land resources, food and wine products of this wonderful land for tourism and to create an extra opportunity to appreciate how Montefalco can offer visitors, and from the standpoint of historical and cultural.
