2011 Altrocioccolato, 11th edition

The old town and the lakeside of Castiglione del Lago (PG), one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, are preparing to become, for the 11th time, the home of the Fair chocolate (but also trade, ed) with Altrocioccolato 2011.

Will be three days, from October 14th to 16th, 2011, full of stands with fair-trade products, handmade chocolates, local products, wine tastings, guided tastings, chocolate dinners, meetings, debates, performances for children and plenty of good live music. In addition, adverse events and, in conjunction with Altrocioccolato, Vivere Equo - Giornate Regionali del Commercio Equo, by the Umbria Region with other appointments.

The official start of 2011 Altrocioccolato will be at 16:00 on Friday 14th from Piazza Gramsci, but by 9:30 am, Vivere Equo's event, will start at the Stadio Comunale with a quadrangular football tournament: "A kick to discrimination". And to 15:00, until 20:00 will open the Exhibition-Market. The first day will end with a concert (and a following dj-set) of Ettore Giuradei, at the Darsena Live Music di Via Lungolago, 1, at 23:00.

Saturday 15th starts with the Market-Exhibition, from 09:00 to 22:00. We will continue, at 10:00 and at Palazzo della Corgna - Hall Theatre, with the conference: "The fair trade is still in fashion! Ideas for a new leading role through an Italy that is changing". Closure always at the Darsena Live Music with a concert at 23:00 by Giorgio Canali e Rossofuoco. Followed by DJ set.

Sunday 16th and final day, the Market-Exhibition opens at 09:00 and closing at 20:00. Final stage of the festival from 22:00 at Darsena with 2011 Altrocioccolato's closing party, with live music and dj-sets.

We spoke of the side-events. Among the most important are the National Assembly Agices (Italian General Assembly Trade Fair), 15th and 16th October. The Cocoa Sector table, October 15th at 16:00 at Palace of Corgna - Board Room (closed-door meeting), with the presentation of the consortium of producers of cocoa in Côte d'Ivoire GCOOPA-CI (Côte d'Ivoire is one of the most important producer, if not the largest, of cocoa in the world). Hockey & Chocolate, eleventh edition, October 14th and 15th. The meeting between the Bianco Rosso & Blues and Altrocioccolato with the concert-tasting VERONICA & THE RED WINE SERENARDERS, from 20:00 - Giardini della Rocca Medievale (admission free but reservation required). And 2011 ALTROCINEMA - Sguardi ed incontri al femminile, every day at the movie theater Cesare Caporali. All appointments, except Altrocinema 2011 (€ 6 for all the screenings) are free.
