The National Market Exhibition of the Truffle 2008 is organised, like every year, during the last two weeks of November in the city of Valtopina.

The initiative aims to valorise, in addition to the truffle, the particular and suggestive territory of the beautiful valley of the Topino located in the territory of the Mountain Community of the Subasio Mount, through a program offering a large range of activities. The objective is to create an event different from the other ones and that turns Valtopina into a pole of attraction also for the other Umbrian territories producing truffles.
The event is organised by the Commune of Valtopina and by the Mountain Community of the Subasio Mount, which is actually at the Presidency of the Italian Association City of the Truffle, and it is sustained by the Region of Umbria, the Province of Perugia, the Regional Agency for the Tourism Promotion and by the Chamber of Commerce of Perugia.
Moreover, it will be possible to participate to real and proper adventure in the search of the precious tuber, through itineraries guided by truffle experts that will make the curious and the lovers of the good food become part of the small secrets needed to find the excellent Umbrian truffle.
Inside the exhibition area there will be, as usual, a Restaurant exclusively dedicated to the preparation of dishes based on truffle and inspired by the local cooking tradition, which will allow the visitors to taste a menu "All truffle" for lunch as well as for dinner.
