6th Bike Tour delle Vecchie Ferrovie (Old Railways Bike Tour): final stage, 2011 Tour della Vecchia Ferrovia Spoleto Norcia (Tour of the Old Spoleto Norcia Railway), 6th edition

After the first two stages, Vecia Ferovia dela Val de Fiemme, in Trentino Region, and Alcantara il Free Ride della Vecchia Ferrovia, Sicily, arrives in Umbria for the last stand the 6th Bike Tour delle Vecchie Ferrovie (Old Railways Bike Tour), the first National Circuit of biking on disused railway tracks.

And October 9th, 2011, from the square of Scheggino (PG) at 9:30, kick off the 6th Tour della Vecchia Ferrovia Spoleto - Norcia (Tour of the Old Spoleto - Norcia Railway). This edition of the Tour back to the old path, with arrival in Borgo Cerreto, a village of Cerreto di Spoleto (PG).

The 2011 route will wind for the 53 km of the old railway line Spoleto - Norcia, including viaducts and tunnels completely dark (participants must obtain torches, ed), a climb of 4.5 km with an average gradient of 10% and descents. The course will cover the Valnerina towns of Scheggino, Sant'Anatolia di Narco, Vallo di Nera and Borgo Cerreto.

During the race there will be refreshments, pasta party, for the first 300 registered technical backpack, guided tours, such as the Museo della Canapa (Hemp) of Sant'Anatolia di Narco, an ambulance will follow the race. And there will be many prizes: stay for two people in Trentino; stay in Sicily for two people; weekly skipass for Val di Fiemme Obereggen; dinner for two in a typical Valnerina restaurant; Il Baciafemmine; baskets of local products black truffles-made by Urbani Tartufi; baskets of local products cold cuts-made offered by the municipalities of Sant'Anatolia di Narco and Vallo di Nera; vegetables and wine of the region; technical products offered by Cicli Duranti Spoleto; products offered by Studio 21 hairdressers and Zone beauty salon of Terni.

The event, non-competitive, is open to anyone. Minors must submit a copy of a valid medical certificate. Helmet required and, of course, must respect the rules of the road.

You can do the pre-enrollment on the official website, umbriainmountainbike.it, at a cost of € 15, or register the morning of the 9th, from 7:30 to 9:00 in the square of Scheggino at a cost of € 18.
