We recommend a visit to Monteluco, situated 8 km east of Spoleto. Along the road you will find the church of St. Peter and the "Bridge of the Towers( Ponte delle Torri), as well as the church of St. Julian.
Near the top of the mountain, close to a look-out point from which it is possible to see a spacious panorama, the convent of St. Francis, founded by the Saint himself, and immersed in a wood of oaks is to be found.
Before arriving at Campello sul Clitunno travelling north from Spoleto, one can visit the fortified towns of Bazzano and Poreta.
After the inevitable visit of the Springs of the Clitunno, at the right-hand side of the valley one arrives at the castle and the church of of Pissignano after only a few minutes, and at the small temple of the situated near the river. Returning back after having left the Flaminia state road, follow the signs for Beroide and then for Bruna, where you will find a noteworthy santuary; after a short deviation you will discover the charming church of St. Brizio. Continuing along the more hidden part of the region one arrives first at Castel Ritaldi, then at Giano dell'Umbria and then, a bit outside the populated area, at the abbey of St. Felix.
