Music for the Villages 2011 (Timeless Rhythms)

Now in its ninth edition, music for the villages, ethnic and popular music festival that will delight the summer sound of the historic centers and plazas of the most picturesque villages of the Middle Tiber Valley.
2011 edition, July 2 to 24, will perform many important artists like Tullio de Piscopo, Fabio Concato, Niccolo Fabi, Roberto Vecchioni and Emma Marrone. Be followed by a weekend of music and tastes, open taverns and street artists in the streets of the historic center of Marsciano 22 and July 23.
There will also be the concert event to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy "Harmonies of Italy" (July 7, Spello, Villa Fidelia). The concerts will be totally free.

Umbria Jazz 2011

Umbria Jazz 2011

Great music of Umbria Jazz will back to mark the days of summer in Perugia. The program will take place on days ranging from 8 to 17 July 2011, includes among others the great Carlos Santana, Caro Emerald and Dee Alexander, on the 9th there will be the Tribute to Miles with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Marcus Miller that will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the death of Miles Davis, July 16 will be the turn preceded by a preview of the great BB King.
The concerts will be held at the Arena Santa Giuliana, one of the main locations of the festival along with the Pavone Theatre, Oratorio Santa Cecilia and the open spaces of the historic center, Piazza IV Novembre and Carducci gardens.
Perugia is getting ready to welcome tourists who are coming to the festival, especially with all his hotels and restaurants, B&B, and holiday farms in the country.
